Unless you’ve had your head in the sand the last few weeks, you will be aware that the new Netflix series ‘Nobody Wants This’ has been a huge sensation.

After watching it (and loving it) I created a post about why I believe we are all obsessed with it, and it went viral. Yes even Kristen Bell shared it in her stories!

But why are we all talking about it? What about their story is so special that it resonates with us all deeply?

In this week's episode I’ve decided to do a deep dive into why we are all loving this show right now and what we can learn from it when it comes to our own search for love.

Join me as I share why this show creates hope and is a true reflection of healthy love at the start of a new relationship.

  • Great Relationships Come to Those Who Wait: why it’s a good thing to find love later on

My hot take (that some may disagree with me on until you listen to this episode) is that the best relationships come to those who wait for them.

We have been fed the belief that those who end up with their high school sweethearts are the lucky ones, while those who remain single in their thirties are unlucky in love- but what if this just isn’t true? What if the greatest love stories happen later than we initially planned?

In this episode I argue my case for why I believe that when people meet when they have already established their identity and have spent a significant time alone, they can have better romantic relationships.

I also divulge the juicy details of how I met my fiancé and how our story is a great example of why a good relationship can come after two people have already got to know themselves, spent time focusing on their self-development and are ready to take the next steps.

This episode is for you if you have ever doubted your journey and how long it is taking you to find love.

  • Reflections On My Journey of Being Single at 33 to Becoming a Mother at 36
    Jun 12 2024

My journey of going through a break-up at 33 created panic about whether I would be able to have children and if time was ‘running out’ for me.

I used this time in my thirties to create a life that I love, whilst also focusing on my desire to meet someone and start a family with them.

Fast forward four years and my path unfolded and a few months before my 37th birthday I gave birth to Lenny, my first child. In this episode I am answering your questions about what it has been like to become a mother at this age, later than I had anticipated.

We live in a world where, despite the fact that becoming a mother from the ages of 35-40 is becoming more common, there are still fears and misconceptions about a woman’s ability to get pregnant after the age of 35.

    The episode covers:

    • Was it difficult to get pregnant at this age and did I use the eggs that I had frozen at age 35
    • The taboo of talking about getting pregnant successfully
    • Was I treated differently in my pregnancy and birth because of my age (the term ‘geriatric pregnancy’ often scares women into having a baby)
    • An honest and vulnerable share about the positives and negatives of having a baby at this age
