  • Summary

  • SEASON 07 WILL BEGIN FRIDAY JULY 28TH

A story-based show mixing spoken-word narrative, history and ideas - often to terrifying effect - that explores the space between what we think of as real and what is not; where sometimes belief can be as concrete as ‘reality,’ whatever that is…

5 stars

I actually really enjoy the narration. Apparently that's the reason for the down votes. it's undeserved.

Good stories, but narration is boring in cadence.

this Podcast is extraordinarily boring in cadence and narration. It sounds like this guy is reading an inventory list

King fans will love this! Either way, MUST listen

The narrator's voice is so calm, it belies the words he's reading...Great podcast! Creepy, weird, and other "unexplained" things.

Audible makes it impossible to listen sequentially-- can you fix that?

love it

I think McLean Smith's voice is quite nice and relaxing. I learn a lot from this podcast-- literature, history, anthropology of sorts. It's spooky and weird and sometimes disturbing. Well researched and lots of variety.

never knew this much weirdness was out there

until I started listening to this. And the narrator is a bit dry for some but I would be as well if I knew all these weird things might have actually happened or definitely have.....I think he's more calming and he puts me to sleep.... don't think that's the intention though so try it out when you aren't sleepy. it's definitely worth a listen -lots of interesting stories.

Perfect

The narration is so calming and the music feels like autumn flavored nostalgia. I will listen to anything as long as Richard MacLean Smith is reading it to me. I wish I had access to more of his content to explore. I highly recommend this podcast. It's perfect for bedtime or any other time. Quality production.
