  • Embrace Your Extraordinary Self with Deidre Dattoli
    Jul 31 2024

How could things be different in your life, career or business if you embraced your extraordinary?

So many of us go through life only considering certain parts of ourselves as valuable, making it challenging to feel expansive enough to achieve all our dreams.

But there is a way to change this.

My guest today, Deidre Dattoli, is here to share with us how we can embrace our whole, extraordinary selves in order to live in a way that truly lights us up.

Deidre is an author, professional certified coach, educator and emotional intelligence practitioner. She is also the co-founder of Embrace Your Extraordinary, a transformative global education and inspiration space dedicated to empowering people to embrace their extraordinary potential and live their most extraordinary lives.

In this episode, Deidre shares her journey to realising she was already extraordinary just by being alive, and how this took her from a career as a corporate exec to pursuing a life that aligned with her true nature. She also gives us insight into how we can find the balance between wellness, having the energy to show up, aliveness and feeling fulfilled.

We hear some practical strategies on embracing our authenticity, and how to live with a mindset of gratitude for the present moment.

I encourage you to get curious during this conversation about where fear might be keeping you small. Ask yourself: if you were to embrace the fact that you already are extraordinary, what possibilities could be created for you in your life?

  • Are you stuck in the waiting room of success?
    Jul 24 2024

Today, I want to shine a light on a common trap many of us fall into—the proverbial waiting room of success. It's that place where our dreams and aspirations are put on hold, often indefinitely.

    But not today.

Today, I’m inviting you to learn how to leave that waiting room behind for good.

Transforming "I wish" moments into "I will" actions starts with a shift in mindset—from passive to active, from dreamer to doer. It’s about replacing "I can’t" with "How can I.”

Where could you be if you actually took action today?

Do you want to still be sitting in the waiting room of success this time next year? Or do you want to be out there living your dreams, celebrating your successes, and building your life and business by design?

In this episode I break down three actional steps you can make today, to move you towards that success that you’re chasing.

Let me remind you, it might feel safe to wait around, but it won’t bring you closer to your goals. No one is coming to rescue you. Achieving your dreams is about being brave, committing to action, moving beyond your comfort zone, and really making those dreams a reality.

As business owners, we strive to serve our clients in a way that adds the most value to their lives. For the majority of us, that’s the reason we started our businesses in the first place.

However, in order to create the lives we want to lead and the successes we’re hoping to achieve, we must ensure we’re taking care of ourselves and prioritising our own needs as well.

Today, I’m joined by the incredible Angela Raspass, an influential mentor and facilitator for business owners, who is here to share with us the six essential needs that when met, help a business not only survive but thrive.

We explore the personal and professional elements that will support you to love the clients you work with and unlock profit in a way that aligns with how you want to work.

  • The ONLY 2 Things You Can Control in Your Business
    Jul 10 2024

In the unpredictable tides of life and business, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by factors beyond our control. However, there are two elements that are always within our grasp: our effort and our attitude.

I was recently inspired by the words of sporting mindset coach Mark Zimmerman, who says, “You can't control the weather, the opposition…or even your teammates' performance, but you can always control the effort you put in and the attitude you bring.”

Now, I believe this philosophy isn't just vital on the rugby field, but crucial in the business arena too. With all of the external pressures we face daily, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But remember, amidst this chaos, our effort and attitude are the only two things we really can control.

Today, we’ll explore how mastering these elements can lead to significant success, helping us perform better daily and take control of our response to everyday challenges.

I’ll share practical strategies to harness their power, including practising gratitude and crafting a 90-day plan.

While we can't control every aspect of our environment, we can always control our response. I hope you're inspired to take control of your effort and attitude, transforming your challenges into stepping stones for success.

  • Unreasonable Excellence: Going Above and Beyond in Business
    Jun 26 2024

If you could be unreasonable about something in your business or in your career,  what would it be and why?

Now, when I say unreasonable, I’m not talking about an unwillingness to cooperate. I’m talking about unreasonable excellence, the area in your business for which you go above and beyond the call of duty. The special something that really sets you apart.

The reason I'm asking this question is because whilst in New York recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing the renowned Eleven Madison Park, a restaurant with many accolades and the reputation for unreasonably outstanding hospitality.

From the spectacular plant-based menu, the intentional connection from each member of staff, to the dedication to ensure each guest had a special experience, it was apparent why Eleven Madison Park has become legendary.

And it got me thinking - how can we follow their lead and show up in an equally extraordinary way in our own businesses?

Today, we’re talking about recognising what sets us apart in business, and making the choice to show up in an unreasonably excellent way that’s unique to each of us. We’ll also explore the power of connection, and how being intentional with it can create a ripple effect that transforms lives.

So, ask yourself: what changes might you need to make to really show up in your business in a spectacular way? Chances are you’re already sitting on the answer - it’s all about following through and embracing the authority you have to let your gift shine.

  • Overcoming Shiny Stuff Syndrome
    Jun 12 2024

If you find yourself constantly chasing after the next big thing, feeling overwhelmed, and struggling to finish anything, you might be suffering from Shiny Stuff Syndrome. This disease of distraction plagues many business owners. It's like being a kid in a candy store, but instead of sweets, you’re surrounded by shiny new business strategies.

Think about a typical day: you're scrolling through your social media feed when a new marketing strategy pops up, promising to revolutionise your business. Without a second thought, you dive in. Sometimes, it’s driven by seeing competitors or “worthy rivals” doing something new that you feel compelled to copy or reinvent. Before you know it, another new shiny opportunity catches your eye, and the cycle repeats itself.

So, how do we avoid this trap? Here are four key strategies:

    1. Pause: Before diving headfirst into a new idea, take a moment to pause. Is this a "hell yes" that aligns with your goals? If not, step away.

    2. Communicate: Talk to your trusted advisors, and your inner circle. Share your ideas and explain how they fit into your overall strategy. Their honest feedback can prevent hasty decisions.

    3. Measure: Define success for every new venture. Track your progress and results. This data will tell you what's working, what's not, and where to focus your energy.

    4. Quit (When Necessary): Don't be afraid to cut your losses. Measuring success allows you to identify when to quit and refocus on your long-term goals.
