    As the Downtown Social District of Panama City, Florida, sees revitalization thanks to dedicated locals and city officials, many new businesses have emerged. One of those is Bookish Boutique, a trendy and charming bookstore and gift shop with a mission to create community among the population of readers in Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast area and beyond. Owner Jenny Kelley joined VIE editor/VIE Book Club podcast host Jordan Staggs to talk about opening her store to rave reviews, fostering connections with other downtown businesses, supporting authors of all genres with book signings and other events, and much more.     We had the pleasure of welcoming local author and marine biologist Bryan Martin to the set of VIE Book Club! Originally from Massachusetts, Bryan has lived around the US and now calls Panama City Beach home. Known as "Sea Lion Bryan" due to his love for the ocean and his experience training sea lions for aquatic centers and the U.S. military.


    In 2017, Bryan turned to Facebook to share his journey after the passing of his partner. This led to an opportunity with Soaring Spirits International, where he wrote for their blog and represented the LGBTQ community. Bryan compiled his heartfelt posts and additional insights into his self-published debut book, The Widowed Dancer, available on Amazon.

Then, dive into VIE’s luxury coffee-table books, HOME and COOK, which celebrate the local interior design, architecture, and culinary creatives in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, (also known as 30A) and its surrounding areas.
