    WELCOME BACK!
Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! It's time for another episode of the "WKRP-Cast"...and we've been retooled! Well, we haven't, but the SHOW is supposed to have undergone a major overhaul. Did it? Not so much, thanks to the curmudgeonly behavior of our hero, Mr. Hugh Wilson. This is, oddly for first season, a clip show...with about 14 minutes of new stuff, PLUS an all new "Mama Carlson." We get into what it was like to watch TV back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, the mystery of the cold open, the insanity of network suits and the return of one of the funniest shows on TV...now comfortably seated right behind mega-hit "M*A*S*H"!! What could go wrong...right?? Well, it IS WKRP. Don't count on anything good to last for too long. The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, Mama's here and she doesn't look happy. Is your resume up-to-date? Time to hit 'play' and hope she's in a good mood !!

YOU KNOW YOU MAKE US WANNA...
No shouts in the show, but we did want to take a minute to say a BIG 'Thank You' to Michael Hernandez, the Accountant of Rock. Mike is doing some amazing forensic research regarding the scheduling of WKRP throughout its original run on network. He is doing the digital equivalent of haunting newspaper graveyards and dusty stacks in library attics. His research is yielding some fascinating stuff and we are so glad he is willing to share the highlights with us. We hope to be hitting Mike up in the future regarding show ratings and scheduling. It's all part of what made and influenced the creation of WKRP so we love getting into it!

    WATCH ALONG DETAILS...
[Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! We highly recommend the 'Shout Factory' boxed DVD set of the entire WKRP series. For reasons you'll have to listen to in the "Prolog" episode, all streaming versions of the original "WKRP in Cincinnati" have had the original music cues removed. Generic music beds and stings were used in place of the original music for the syndicated version of the series. 'Shout Factory' has been able to restore an estimated 85% of all WKRP music cues to the original "as-aired" content for their DVD release. They've also restored scenes that had been cut to shorten episodes for syndication. The original eps ran 25 minutes. The syndication eps were shortened to 22 minutes. Over 88 episodes that's more than four hours of lost content, including the performance by "Detective" at the end of "Hoodlum Rock." Get the COMPLETE series...get the Shout Factory DVDs. The Shout Factory complete series box has a release date of 2014. All individual seasons of Shout Factory disks were released starting in 2015.]

Hey Fellow Babies!! We talked to Gary Sandy. Don't miss our exclusive interview with Andy Travis now available from the WKRP-Cast. Wherever you get your podcasts.

    THE WKRP-CAST IS IN RE-RUNS!!
If you are new to the WKRP-Cast, welcome and thanks for listening. You might be thinking, "hey, aren't they missing some shows?" It does look that way but rest assured, there is a WKRP-Cast episode for EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of WKRP.

    WELCOME BACK!
Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! It's time for another episode of the "WKRP-Cast"...and...well. Okay, so this is bad. Really bad. If you don't know this episode, consider yourself lucky. If you DO know this episode, please keep reading. We know superfans who will NOT watch this one...but we're giving it a shot! After last week's AMAZING "Turkeys Away" episode, the fine folks at MTM...or CBS...or somebody said this should be the follow-up to one of the greatest half hours in television. This is very bad all on its own...but when you put it up against "Turkeys" it becomes monumentally bad in comparison. If you should happen to like this episode, we hope you have a sense of humor. If you REALLY like this episode...you'd probably better not listen. The other 99.897% of you are going to have a blast. Things get comedically bloody...claws come out...hair color is questioned...you'll have fun in spite of the horrific episode, we promise!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, this one is about as bad as it can possibly get. Hold your nose and hit 'play' !!

[No shout-outs this time. We didn't think it would be fair to associate anyone's name with this episode...just to be safe. Shouts next time! Send stuff!]

Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another episode of the "WKRP-Cast." Bailey is stepping up to the plate as a producer. Her idea, "Cincinnati Beat" is tapped by Andy to be the next big Public Service program on WKRP. The only problem...a show like this requires guests, and good ones. Cue the nutballs! Cincinnati's leading eccentrics have gathered in the WKRP lobby! Bailey's call for participants nets some of the most deliciously deraigned attendees imaginable. Mrs. Woodruff's Hatchback Supreme has done some interstellar commuting, Mr. Eisenhower is about to run you down and Dr. Monroe has a cure for us all!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air! Grab your brains, fellow babies, this is just what the Dr. ordered!!

You Know You Make Us Wanna Shout...
OH YEAH!! After the ep, we'll be doing some shout-outs to friends and listeners. You can completely skip it if you want...you won't miss any episode goodies...but, then again, you never know if we're going to be talking about you!!

Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another episode of the "WKRP-Cast." Be careful...you might not be ready for Hamilton Camp!! We're headed to Del's Stereo for "Hold Up". Herb sold a remote down at Del's Stereo and Sound. Johnny gets roped into doing talent for the gig (on a Saturday!). Del is such a ball of nervous energy he's just short of exploding. When a gunman walks in on the remote things get really weird. When he wants on the air, you know you could only be watching an episode of WKRP!! Remember the old tuner you had that could double as a boat anchor?? Del probably sold it to you! We've got a Union Broadcast Engineer with a 'tude, an out of work deejay with a gun AND we're going to find out just what the heck a "Wingy Menone" is!! We might even do a little target practice on some speakers. The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, and don't miss it!!

Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another episode of the "WKRP-Cast." Huge episode this week!! It's time for some "Hoodlum Rock". Any new rock-n-roll station is only as good as the concerts it can land. WKRP has lucked into hosting one of the first concerts in the states from hot new band "Scum of the Earth." Turns out Art's old buddy Stevie Peevy reps Scum in Cincinnati. We determine the origins of the term "Scum of the Earth". We discover a whole new genre of music where the band physically attacks the audience and, HOLY KRP!! WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW WITH MICHAEL DES BARRES WHO APPEARS IN THE EPISODE!! [THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!]

Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another session of the "WKRP-Cast." We're breaking down a new episode!! This week, it's "Les on a Ledge". After a misunderstanding at "the Stadium" Les is barred from post-game locker-room interviews. A player believes Les is homosexual. The news is so distressing it pushes Les onto the ledge of the Flimm building...or, at least SOME building (the Flimm building doesn't have ledges...but we can't let something like that get in the way of a good script!) Of course there's going to be a "Herb Tarlek Fashion Alert". We meet America's first prime-time pothead (hint: you already know him). We have unidentified firemen, Shakespearean monologues and a fall from either the ninth or fourteenth floor of the Flimm building. This one is truly crazy, fellow babies!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains and tell the Doctor where it hurts!!

Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another episode of the "WKRP-Cast." We've watched another episode of "WKRP in Cincinnati" to the extreme!! This week, we break down "Pilot Part 2". Andy has been at the station for two weeks. He wants to promote the change to Rock-n-Roll. Mr. Carlson won't give him the money. Disgruntled listeners stage a protest in the station. We meet great one-off characters this time like "Buzzy Milker", "Mrs. Burstyn" and "Wayne R. Coe." Of course there's a "Herb Tarlek Fashion Alert" and we've got a new feature: "The Committee Connection." We also indulge a little "no more mama" conspiracy theory regarding a very weird scene in this episode (you can help solve the mystery!). And...where were they playing bingo again? (we're still not sure...) Fellow babies, the WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains and don't miss it!!

WE ARE IN RE-RUNS! Enjoy this encore presentation.

Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back fellow babies to another episode of the "WKRP-Cast." We've watched the Pilot (Part ONE) of "WKRP in Cincinnati." We've picked it apart to the extreme and we're ready to talk about it!! We meet, for the first time ever, the staff and ownership of Cincinnati radio station WKRP. The "Big Guy" (Art Carlson, station...owner?) has hired hotshot new program director Andy Travis, most recently from Santa Fe. Andy is our way in as we meet the wacky staff of the station. We are introduced to the iconic characters that make up the WKRP crew: Arthur, Herb, Les, Jennifer, Bailey, Venus and over-the-hill (?) morning man Dr. Johnny Fever. Learn the real story behind why Les is always bandaged as part of our first regular feature: "The Les Nessman Bandage Report." We expose...or, actually, cover-up...'Nipplegate.' We answer burning questions, like how exactly DO you change a radio station format? (Not like this!!) And what happens when the station is managed remotely by the GM's mother? Plus, we introduce the "Herb Tarlek Fashion Alert" and we get a TWO-FER right out of the box!! Get on board, fellow babies!! The WKRP-Cast is happening and there's nothing you can do about it!! Grab your brains and don't miss out!!
