Welcome to Episode 132 of the Warrior Words podcast!

This week's episode is another one that's a little different.

A while ago, I saved a list from a post made by World Record Holder, Jenn Drummond. This week, I examined her list of tips, if you will, that she applies to herself.

I took that list and interpreted it through my eyes and experiences. I offered some tips of my own based on hers and what I felt from the perspective of a trauma survivor.

It's one of those where you listen to each one and then choose what applies to your life and leave the rest. Leave them completely, or leave them to re-examine at a later date.

Welcome to Episode 130 of the Warrior Words podcast!

When this week's guest, Brenda Ballantine, asked me what day it was while we were recording, she caught me a little off guard. But I think that was the design.

When I said that it was Tuesday, she said it was also "Be Nice to Me" day.

Do we know how to do that? Do we actually know how to be nice to ourselves?

So often, we beat ourselves up when God just wants us to know how much He loves us.

Yes, we make mistakes - sometimes marry the wrong spouse or stay in an abusive situation.

Yes, we sin - sometimes we stray from our marriages or do things that work against them.

Brenda did these things and thought God was mad at her. She beat herself up. On top of the abuse she endured when her former husband beat her up.

But there's a thread throughout her story ~ one of beauty; Our Lord weaved something beautiful out of the sometimes ugly life she was living.

Now Brenda wants to help others mend their broken hearts and learn to be nice to themselves.
