It turned out to be a much bigger problem than they thought. St Sgt David Philips, who spearheaded the initiative, sat with our Ian MacLennan to outline the results of the operation and the ongoing effort to keep things in check... 2) Car Shopping Made Easy Shopping for a new set of wheels, but don't want the pressure of a sales pitch? The students at Georgian College have you covered. They will be hosting their annual student-run auto show in a couple of weeks. It's a no-sale event that offers you a chance to test drive vehicles and get information without the pressure to purchase. Barrie 360's Will Konken sits with the Student Director of Media and Marketing, Luke Reymer to get all the details... 3) Summer Hockey In Simcoe County Kids are now going to have a chance to play organized hockey in Simcoe County this summer, all thanks to a 16-year-old entrepreneur who identified a need, did his homework and is now set to get this project on the ice. Justin Blanchet took some time to chat with our own Dan Blakely about his vision for the program... 4) Partnering Up To Help The Community Hospice Simcoe and Seasons Centre for Grieving Children are pillars in the community and have partnered up to help families find strength in life's toughest moments. Hospice Simcoe Executive Director Kelly Hubbard and Managing Director of the Seasons Centre for Grieving Children sat down with Ian MacLennan to outline how the merger will benefit those in need... But recently South Simcoe Police honoured several officers for their work on Project Chameleon which saw the arrests of 8 people and the rescue of three survivors. Krystal Brooks is a human trafficking survivor, she stopped by to share her journey with our Ian MacLennan... 2) Barrie Baycats Home Opener It was a close one last year, but ultimately the Barrie Baycats fell short of the championship. Excitement has been on the rise for this season as they head into their home opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. Barrie 360's Will Konken tracked down their GM Josh Matlow for a preview of what's to come this season... 3) Razors Of Hope He's doing it again! Barrie's Jason Helmond is gearing up for another year of Razors Of Hope. He's getting ready to shave his head to support the Terry Fox Foundation. This year he is joined by the former chair of the local Terry Fox Run, Patrick Scott, who is ready to shave his beard. They sit down with Ian MacLennan to share more information... 4) Barrie's MS Walk Multiple Sclerosis is unpredictable. It is an auto-immune system disorder where the body attacks itself and over 90 thousand Canadians are living with it. Barrie's MS Walk is happening May 26 at Heritage Park this year to show support.
