When Everything Falls Apart

  • Summary

  • In this Episode, Lisa walks through some lessons in the book of Job, while revisiting some of the painful seasons in her own story. Lisa speaks about how God sometimes uses pain as the conduit to purify us, how pain is a promotion and not a punishment in the Kingdom of God, how to raise hands in worship while having a broken heart. She contends that even though we don't always understand, we can always trust that God is a Good God, and that Godly grief does not demand an audience or applause.

This episode was recorded at Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.

For a deeper look into the book of Job, Lisa has a Bible Study and DVD Series entitled Job: A Story of Unlikely Joy. More information can be found here: https://www.lifeway.com/en/product-family/job

Pruning hurts!

What an amazing testimony. Lisa is a great story teller and she is able to make the Bible so relatable to life today. What a great inspiration and lesson to learn. “Sometimes the pain we walk through is a pruning to cause prolific growth for God’s glory!”
