  • Summary

  • When Can I Start Tapping Maple Trees?

New and Old Tech for Knowing When to Tap

It's no secret that this has been an odd winter and a very odd spring so far. The weather is crazy warm! What does this do to our Maple Tapping Season??? Should we start tapping now? Should we wait until spring actually arrives? Are you confused just like everyone else?

In this episode we explore some of the old-tyme methods for determining when Maple Trees are ready to be tapped for Maple Sap, as well as some of the new technology we have at our disposal in order to perfectly time the start of your tapping season.

Even when the weather is doing weird things, we'll get through this together so that we don't miss out on the delicious golden nectar from our Maple Trees!

Short informative and helpful

I like the 10-15 minute talk format. POW. Done. And since I had already bought supplies from Amazon but I had NO IDEA how to do this and was looking for information in an easy format… this podcast teaches me to and from work what to do when I get home out in the woods. Love it! Thanks!
