On a cold December afternoon in 2021, three-year-old Lina Sardar Khil vanished from what should have been the safest place she knew- the playground just outside her family’s apartment in San Antonio, Texas.

Lina had only been playing for a short time when her mother stepped away briefly. When she returned, Lina was gone.

What followed was a massive search involving local police, the FBI, and the community, as investigators combed the apartment complex, nearby neighborhoods, and surrounding terrain.

A small Ohio town was rattled when two beloved members of their community mysteriously disappeared.

Johnny and Shelly Markley lived with their five children in Bristlvile, Ohio, and suffered some tragedies in the mid-90s.

Johnny's twin sister was diagnosed with breast cancer, their house burned down, Johnny's father passed away, a nephew passed away, and in 1995, Johnny's sister succumbed to the cancer.

On the day of the memorial service, the children came home from school to an empty house. The pickup truck was missing, and Shelly's purse was on the counter. A bedroom safe and had been opened and ransacked, but the Markely's were missing.

Robert Hourihan left for work on April 8, 2011, at 6:30 a.m. just as he always did. Except Rob wasn't going to work as his wife believed.

For some reason, Rob went to breakfast and then began driving north.

Rob wasn't officially reported as missing until April 10, 2011, and the search began. But the clues didn't add up.

On May 28, 2011, more than a month after he vanished, his car was discovered abandoned in the parking lot of a Target store in La Plata, Maryland, over 100 miles away.

Dolores Sakamoto was reported missing along with her daughter Vivian Luna after they left home on July 21, 2024. The pair never made it to their destination.

Authorities followed an odd trail of clues...but never found the mother and daughter.

On November 1, 2021, 32-year-old Shannon White left her home in Kamloops, British Columbia, to drive her familiar short commute to work at a local car dealership.

Eyewitnesses saw her walk to her vehicle that morning, dressed for work, but she never arrived at the dealership. The next day, Shannon’s black 1997 Jeep was found abandoned on Nicola Street.

There have been a couple of specific areas searched, but if the RCMP obtained any evidence, they have kept it close. Still, Shannon remains missing.

Lakira Dajour Goldsmith, a 20-year-old mother from Montgomery, Alabama, disappeared late on the night of November 27, 2018.

She was dropped off at her grandmother’s apartment on Narrow Lane Road, but she never made it inside.

A maintenance worker reported that she borrowed his phone around 2:00 a.m., and when he returned, the phone had been left behind, and Lakira was gone.

She left without her belongings, including medication needed for her severe asthma, and she has not contacted her family or her young son since.

Her disappearance is treated as an endangered missing-person case, and despite public appeals from her family, no confirmed sightings or leads have surfaced.

Kierra Coles, a 27-year-old pregnant USPS worker from Chicago, was last seen the evening of October 2, 2018, making withdrawals at local ATM.

The next morning, her car is seen being returned near her apartment, but it was not Kierra in the car.

Kierra has not been seen or heard from since, and her family continues to search for answers.

Cathy James, a 60-year-old woman in Oklahoma, mistakenly walked into a home in Tonkawa, believing it was her friend's house. The homeowner called authorities, and Cathy told them she thought she was in Muskogee, Oklahoma, almost two hours away.

It was clear Cathy was having a mental episode, but law enforcement let her go anyway.

Cathy James was never seen again.
