• 18. Is God Done?
    Mar 22 2021

In this episode, I share some thoughts around the idea that God is sometimes so done with things we do or think. As we approach the future, it’s time to think about what to leave behind, what to retool and what to make new.

  • 17. Serve Without Fear
    Dec 23 2020

Leading others is fun and will push us all to grow internally if we let it. Based on Luke chapter one and other passages talked about in this podcast, how will you choose to live your days? Will you live in fear of the enemy of your soul? Will you live in fear of trouble or harm or persecution? Or will you live in His presence, full of hope and courage and His holiness as you do the good works He prepared for you to do before you were born?

Scriptures referenced in the podcast: Luke 1 (CSB) Isaiah 9:1-7 (CSB) Hebrews 4:12 (NIV) John 16:33 (NIV) Isaiah 64:6 (NIV) Ephesians 4:22-24 (NIV) Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

  • 16. Rewards of Obedience
    Dec 8 2020

I’ve spent months in a bit of a funk and without creative energy. Today, though, let’s look at Psalm 19. In this podcast, I encourage you to look at the list of benefits there are if you obey what God says and ask Him what one change you could make this week to start experiencing those rewards in your life. I observe that what God has to say is good; when I read what God has to say in the Bible, the sins lurking under the surface in my heart get exposed to the light of God and HIs grace; when I make them the meditation of my heart through the day, I get to be pleasing to God; and what God says, if obeyed, brings a long list of rewards with it.

  • 13. Perspective in Crisis
    Apr 13 2020

As we live our lives, let’s keep the perspective of heaven and hope in God. Let’s live every day listening for God’s quiet nudges and assignments and carry them out quickly. Let’s pay attention to the goodness of God and let Him be our refuge in this difficult time. Let’s not let the prospect of death frighten us, but hold on to our hope in Christ Jesus for a future in heaven forever.

    Mar 30 2020

God is with us. Are we looking for Him? Are we grateful? Do we have a friendship with Him? Are we listening for His voice? Are we obeying the quiet prompts to call someone, send a meal, send a text. Those acts of kindness are God-inspired.

  • 11. An Anchor of Hope
    Mar 23 2020

During this global pandemic we need hope, but not the kind we talk of when we say, “I hope you get better,” or “I hope I don’t get sick.” God offers us and anchor in heaven during this storm.
