  • This is a Your Stories series episode with two individuals sharing their experiences with this months topic, medical gaslighting. The first is a young man in his 30's named Brian who caught Covid19 in the first wave in early 2020. He has struggled to find answers and is now two years into his illness.
    The second, a woman in her 40's named Claire. She developed LC after an infection in dec 2020. This is not her first experience  being dismissed by doctors as she had diagnosis of CFS in years prior. Both are briefly interviewed by Dave, another Longhauler who asked each person a set of the same questions to help illustrate their experiences and highlight the impact it has had. 

    Questions in the interview are :

    Can you share an example of medical gaslighting you have experienced?
    How has it changed your perspective on healthcare and medicine?
    Has there been anything positive to come out of your experiences? 
    What would be your advice to anyone going through something similar?
    What thoughts would you like to share with the medical community that you think they need to hear?
