Amani Simpson, social entrepreneur and founder of AVIARD Inspires shares his story. Amani was set upon by a gang of 20 people and stabbed 7 times after intervening in a burglary in 2011, he was stabbed in the chest, arms and legs. Now he’s a motivational speaker and has made a short film about his attack called ‘Amani’. In our second story, reporter Tapiwa talks to Shanea, who is a youth campaigner and activist doing amazing things in her community, she is the founder of the Your Life More Life, a project that's determined to make Newham a safer place. Steph, our reporter, talks to two people who have been socially and economically impacted since news of the virus broke in January. Firstly we hear from Yajing, who talks about the increase in racist abuse both she and her family have experienced in the last few months.
