• Episode 18: Upperroom 5. Con Saturday night - Aaron Smith - Let Jesus touch you!- 9 March 2024
    Jun 22 2024

We were incredibly blessed in March to have a group come from Upperroom for two weeks! In the first week some of our team went with them down to Sanctuary Church in Melbourne for a conference. Then in the second week (7-10th of March) we held a conference weekend at our Zion base.

This message is from the last night of the conference, Saturday night, where Aaron spoke on stewarding the presence of God.

True friendship and true intimacy is personal, it is the sharing of burdens and secrets as well as the joy, fun and other aspects of life. In this message Aaron invites us to be still before God, to let Him touch us; to let Him move us.

If we don't stop talking in prayer we won't be attentive to His voice and the burdens on His heart, then we can't partner with Him.

If we can't be present with God and continue to let technology distract us, then we will let it hinder true connection with Him.

What is it to be friends with God, to let Him move us, touch our hearts?

What is it to worship more in secret then in church and on the stage?

This is the call of Jesus to be one with Him just like the trinity are one.

Let us be still and let Him touch us!

    Jun 8 2024

We were incredibly blessed in March to have a group come from Upperroom for two weeks! In the first week some of our team went with them down to Sanctuary Church in Melbourne for a conference. Then in the second week (7-10th of March) we held a conference weekend at our Zion base.

This message is from Saturday After Lunch, where we sat Aaron and Sarah Beth down to answer some questions from the audience.

This was a beautiful time where we got to hear personal keys and insights from Aaron and Sarah Beth's life about doing marriage and family in ministry.

God lead this question panel into a beautiful place of ministry, focusing on any areas where we have been in denial about offence and the pain that surrounds it, then bringing that to God to let Him do what He wants to do in our heart!

One great line that came through was

'Give me your pain and I'll give you breakthrough'

This is what Jesus says to us, come close to my heart and be real with me

Don't hide your pain from me

May you be blessed by this podcast

  • Episode 16: Upperroom Con 3. Saturday morning - Intimacy Flows From Authenticity - Sarah Beth Smith - 9 March 2024
    May 26 2024

We were incredibly blessed in March to have a group come from Upperroom for two weeks! In the first week some of our team went with them down to Sanctuary Church in Melbourne for a conference. Then in the second week (7-10th of March) we held a conference weekend at our Zion base.

This message is from Saturday morning.

That's weird, could be God, probably is

One of the biggest things that stops us from receiving God is offence

Blessed are those who are not offended by God

    Luke 7:36

This story is the shift from religion to relationship.

Religion can look good, yet it doesn't get you closer to God.

It's not about lip-service it's about your heart.

Religion steels you from My feet, it steels you from My heart.

    Luke 24:5

Why do you seek the living among the dead.

    This is religion

Ps 51:16 - For You will not delight in sacrifice, You will not be pleased with a burnt offering, the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart O God You will not despise.

Be 100% you in His presence, no mask, no performance.

Worship is a life laid down at His feet

It's all from the oil we get when we sit at His feet.

    Revival is tears and intimacy.

    It starts with knowing Him.

It starts with Him healing our pain and trauma.

    Mark 2:18

This new wine is intimacy with Him

Song of Songs 2:1 Your love is better than wine.

  • Episode 15: Upperroom Con 2. Friday night - A Desperation and Desire For Jesus - Aaron Smith- 8 March 2024
    May 26 2024

We were incredibly blessed in March to have a group come from Upperroom for two weeks! In the first week some of our team went with them down to Sanctuary Church in Melbourne for a conference. Then in the second week (7-10th of March) we held a conference weekend at our Zion base.

This message is from the Friday night.

Don't let it be said that we were in the presence of God but we missed Him.

There's something about desperation, there's something about man forsaking his reputation that you look upon it and say that's faith.

    We want You Lord.

Teach us to dig a well for You, to built our house on the rock.

Luke 24:13, just moments after Jesus was risen from the dead.

They walked with God yet they had no idea of who He was

And we do this in our lives, we miss God in ministry or the business of our lives.

He moves where He wishes, but stays where He's wanted.

We can love the things of God, more than God Himself.

Let's be people that seek His FACE, for it far outshines His Hand.

Make us a people that we desperate for Your face.

Your original design was to walk with God.

    DESIRE

John 17:24 - Father I DESIRE that they may be with Me and behold My glory

Religion is anything of God, void of the presence of God.

The one who gets the miracle is the one who is desperate, and they find themselves dwelling with God.

You can't see Him until you receive Him.

It's God's job to keep us burning.

First Love is His love for us!

Mark us with desire for You

  • Episode 14: Upperroom Con 1. Thursday night - God's Judgement Liberates Us In Love - Josiah Sherwen - 7 March 2024
    May 26 2024

We were incredibly blessed in March to have a group come from Upperroom for two weeks! In the first week some of our team went with them down to Sanctuary Church in Melbourne for a conference. Then in the second week (7-10th of March) we held a conference weekend at our Zion base.

This message is from the Thursday night.

Josiah started with the story of God telling the Israelites to seek out the dwelling place He had chosen when they were coming into the promised land.

Deuteronomy 12:5 'but you should seek the place where the Lord your God chooses out of all your tribes to put His name for His dwelling place'

It wasn't until David 400 years later that Zion (originally called Jebus) was conquered from the Jebusites, and made the centrepiece of the city of David.

    Jebus means threshing floor/place

    This represents God's judgement

When we go to His place of judgement, it comes the place we teach peace from.

Us knowing Jesus as judge, is for Him to pour out his love on us.

    God's judgement is 3-fold

To stop that what which would hinder us receiving His love, giving it back to Him and loving each other.

Be encouraged to keep God on the judgement seat of your heart to be liberated in His love.

  • Episode 13: Intimacy and Fruitfulness (John 15) - Les Sherwen - 3 March 2024
    Apr 9 2024

This week we had the delight of hearing Les Sherwen share a message on how intimacy with Jesus brings fruitfulness in our lives! Les is not only the father of our pastor Josiah, but also a father in the Zion house.

Les invites us to sit with these two questions…

Have you met Jesus, encountered and experienced Him?

And what are you going to do Him and why?

In John 15 we can see three keys to focus on.

Bearing fruit, obedience and dying to self

Bearing Fruit comes from abiding in Jesus and relationships in church community

Obedience to the Father means keeping and obeying His word

Dying to self is tough and it is something He calls us to do everyday

We must always remember it is God's gracious work towards us

    His fruit in us

The Christian journey is not easy, but if we stay attached to the vine

And allow Jesus to be in our lives, allow Him to grow us

He leads us through from this beautiful place of intimacy with Him

  • Episode 11: God's Vision for Zion Church - Josiah Sherwen - 18 February 2024
    Apr 9 2024

This was a special week for Zion marking the milestone of four years as a church!

    Praise God

It is vital as we talk about vision we posture our hearts to seek HIS vision, laying our intention and ambitions down at His feet!

Josiah shares how God named this church and led him on a biblical study of the name Zion.

Names are important to God and we encourage you (if you haven’t already) to seek God on the meaning of your name.

We have a look in scripture at how God marked people by naming them and how this names hold vision and calling.

The vision for this house is that we would be a dwelling place for Jesus, people that minister unto His name!

Like David may we be a people of His presence
