After a short pause, I'm back and this episode introduces an exciting new chapter.

In this episode, Zoë shares what’s been happening behind the scenes over the past few weeks and introduces The Get Good With Horses Skool - the learning space where riders and horse owners can explore the full horsemanship system behind the podcast.

Inside the Skool, members can dive deeper into topics such as relationship and bonding with horses, groundwork and liberty communication, riding skills, horse behavior, anatomy, health, and confidence training. The goal is simple: to help people develop clarity, confidence, and a genuine bond and partnership with their horse.

While the podcast continues to explore ideas, stories, and insights from the horse world, the Skool is where those ideas come to life through structured lessons, exercises, and a supportive community of horse owners learning together.

If you enjoy this podcast and want to go deeper with your horse, you can explore The Get Good With Horses Skool through the link below.

  • 104. Real horsemanship starts, when ego ends
    Oct 17 2025

    Send us a text

In this short but powerful episode, I share my thoughts on how ego quietly slips into our work with horses and how everything changes when we let it go.

From the need to look good or rush progress, to the subtle ways we take things personally, this episode explores what it really means to be present and truthful with our horses.

Because the moment we stop trying to prove ourselves... the horse finally has space to trust us.

    • “You can’t fake presence - they feel the truth.”
    • “Every horse offers a lesson, but we must be willing to learn first.”
    • “The horse we dream of is hidden under the human we must become.”

Listen now and rediscover what real horsemanship feels like when the ego steps aside ♥

Midway through today’s episode, you’ll also hear about Excellent Horse, a brand I love sharing with you – they’ve been keeping horses happy and healthy for over 35 years and mine the last 5 years.
