• Fruits of Freedom with Juno Lux Epifanio

    In this episode, I sit down with queer mystic and spiritual powerhouse Juno Lux Epifanio (they/he), Founder and Executive Director of The Haus of H—a nonprofit spiritual center reimagining what queer belonging can truly look like.

    With a master’s degree in social work, a deep command of mystical and esoteric traditions, and a devotion to uplifting our community, Juno has created an ecosystem of care for queer people unlike anything that has existed before. Their work positions queer liberation as both a social and spiritual movement, using immersive retreats and creative experiences to fuel The Haus of H’s mission of building systems of care that honor LGBTQ+ lives across generations.

    Think the heart of a social worker, the fire of an activist, and the soul of a mystic—Juno’s leadership is living ritual.

    We drop straight into what real, grounded support for the GBTQ+ community looks like, why reclaiming our personal narratives is a radical act of liberation, and how presence and mindfulness can change the way we move through sex, identity, and community.

    We also dive into our upcoming retreat, Fruits of Freedom, and the intention behind creating a space where queer men can finally breathe, open, heal, and celebrate themselves without apology.

  • Woo-Woo Crew | Gratitude EMOM

    In this week’s guided meditation, I lead the Woo-Woo Crew through a gratitude-based exercise (for my friends who like fitness, you’ll appreciate the title of this episode).

    EMOM stands for “Every minute on the minute” and it’s a common workout structure in HIIT-style classes.

    Here in this meditation, I use the EMOM style to focus on gratitude, leading you through an opportunity to deeply focus on one person, place, or thing that you’re grateful for each minute.

    Give this exercise a try. I’m curious as to how it’ll go for you.

    As we step into the month of November, this is a time of reflection and appreciation, so being diligent about gratitude can be a source of peace, hope, and encouragement to guide us through troubled waters.

    Recently, I had the chance to sit down with my personal “Substack Oprah”—Aidan Wharton—the very gay and very brilliant author behind Gay Buffet, one of Substack’s leading hubs for gay wisdom, life, and culture.

    Aidan, a modern-day homosexual Carrie Bradshaw, has been a huge inspiration to me since I first started on this platform.   • Woo-Woo Crew | What Are You Looking Forward To?

    In this guided meditation with the Woo-Woo Crew, I lead the posse through breathing and mental relaxation exercises centered around focusing on the present moment.

    Then, after deep relaxation, I teach how having something to look forward to can be a useful tool for working through stuck emotions, especially emotions that are a bit more intense.

    When we have things to look forward to, such as what we’re eating for dinner tonight or our friend we’re going to see next week, we can tap into the excitement of those things, even if they aren’t here now.

    This helps to remind ourselves that while it might be emotionally raining in the present moment, there’s sunshine up ahead, thus helping ourselves to pull through difficult emotions that we might be currently experiencing.
