  • Formally of, At The Gates of Pop Culture, With Rareeddie1.

Still the same great podcast with me, Rareeddie1. Same format, the same humour, and poking more fun at the woke entertainment industry.

The ongoing battle between "woke" players, big studios, shady producers, and major corporations trying to buy pop culture influence, has turned into a culture war. On one side, there are people like us who just care about good stories, without the influence of tick-box agendas being forced upon us through films, pop culture, comics, video games, and more. On the other side, bad actors are trying to influence everything we enjoy and consume, while we just want to be entertained. As entertainers, we should be able to escape the daily grind of politics, but unfortunately, we are constantly being pushed with political agendas from the minute we wake up to the minute we go to bed. Some of us just want to enjoy a good story without any political influence, but when creators say things like "If you don't like my politics, don't buy my book," it's frustrating, Enough Already let’s try and tear it down from the outside of the Gates.

On the battlegrounds of the Pop Culture War, are you ready for a clash more intense than a dragon’s fiery breath? It’s a colossal showdown between the “woke” warriors, high-powered studios, and corporate overlords all vying for pop culture dominance. On one side, we’ve got the true believers—rebels like us who crave unadulterated storytelling. No strings attached, no checkboxes to tick. We hunger for epic sagas, mind-bending sci-fi, heroes who kick butt without pausing to check their privilege, and worlds where adventure trumps agenda.

A huge Thank you to Tyler W K, Big R and Chris T, hEaD Pop Legends!

Welcome, fellow pop culture enthusiasts, to the most electrifying episode of hEaD Pop!

In this episode, we dive into the slow-burn brilliance of House of the Dragon Episode 6. Who knew watching political chess could be this thrilling?

Next up, we chat about The Acolyte. The showrunner is practically on their knees begging for a Season 2. Will the Force be with them? So they can force us to endure more mediocrity?

Then, we tackle the latest blunder from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Their apology to Japan was so weak, it might as well have been written in invisible ink. 🥷 Seriously, who approved that PR disaster?

On a brighter note, I’m absolutely loving My Hero Academia. It’s like a sugar rush for my eyeballs! If only all shows could be this fun and not take themselves too seriously.

And finally, the ultimate showdown: Which Grand Theft Auto game will reign supreme? Place your bets, folks! Because nothing says “ultimate gaming experience” like debating which virtual crime spree is the best.

So grab your popcorn, adjust your nostalgia goggles, and join us on hEaD Pop for a wild ride through fandoms, galaxies, and questionable life choices. And remember folks, the Force may be with you, but sarcasm is our superpower!

On the battlegrounds of the Pop Culture War, Are you ready for a battle more intense than a dragon's fiery breath? A Colossal showdown between the "woke" players, high-powered studios, and corporate overlords vying for pop culture dominance. On one side, we've got the true believers—people like us who crave unadulterated storytelling. No strings attached, no checkboxes to tick. Welcome, fellow pop culture enthusiasts, to the most electrifying episode of hEaD Pop!

House of the Dragon, Episode 5 Hold onto your dragon saddles, folks! Episode 5 of ‘House of the Dragon’ is here, and it’s like Game of Thrones on steroids. Imagine Daenerys riding Drogon into battle, but with ten times the medieval intrigue and zero Starbucks cups. This episode is packed with political backstabbing, jaw-dropping battles, and enough drama to make a soap opera look tame. If you thought the original series was intense, wait until you see this dragon-sized adrenaline shot straight to the heart!

The Acolyte, Episode 8: “The Acolyte” Welcome back, Star Wars fans! In Episode 8 of ‘The Acolyte,’ we dive into the thrilling world where Jedi are the ultimate workplace safety officers. Who knew they cared so much about OSHA regulations? Expect team-building exercises, trust falls, and a final showdown that’s more dramatic than a lightsaber duel at a corporate retreat. And remember, folks, the real villains aren’t the fans—it’s the directors, writers, and that big mouse with the white gloves. Tune in to see if the Jedi can save the galaxy one safety violation at a time!

My Hero Academia heroes and quirks! In this episode of My Hero Academia, we dive into the world where teenagers with superpowers still have to deal with the most terrifying villain of all—high school. Watch as Deku mutters his way through another crisis, Bakugo explodes at literally everything, and All Might tries to be a motivational speaker despite looking like he skipped leg day for a decade. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, epic battles, and more teenage angst than you can shake a quirk at. Tune in to see if our heroes can save the day or just survive another school year.

My Ultimate Martin Scorsese Films Let’s dive into the world of Martin Scorsese, where cinema is an art form and every frame tells a story. My top picks? First up, “Goodfellas” – because who doesn’t love a good mob story with a side of paranoia and pasta? Next, “Taxi Driver” – a gritty look at the underbelly of New York City that makes you question your own sanity. And of course, “The Wolf of Wall Street” – because nothing says cinematic brilliance like Leonardo DiCaprio dancing on a yacht. What are your thoughts on these Scorsese classics? Any favorites or hidden gems you’d recommend?

Episode #19. The Acolyte, Episode 7 Scissor me timbers! House of the Dragon Episode 4, #RIPDoctorWho, Kaiju No. 8 and My Ultimate Quentin Tarantino Films which one will hit the top spot?

Welcome back to hEaD Pop let us help some of our favourite franchises and heroes and villains.

On the battlegrounds of the Pop Culture War, Are you ready for a battle more intense than a dragon's fiery breath? Welcome, fellow pop culture enthusiasts, to the most electrifying episode of hEaD Pop! The Acolyte, Episode 7: “Scissor Me Timbers!”

Tonight, we’re diving headfirst into the treacherous waters of Episode 7 of “The Acolyte.” You know, the one where the evil bad guys are the Jedi, I mean, who knew they cared about workplace safety? Next, they’ll be holding team-building exercises and trust falls. And let’s not forget the Shill media out there, folks, trying to convince us that Star Wars’ biggest problem lies with the fans. Seriously? I mean, sure, we’ve got some passionate folks in the fandom, but let’s be real: the real culprits are the directors, writers, producers, and actors. And let’s not forget the big mouse in the room—Disney!

House of the Dragon, Episode 4 House of the Dragon, my friends, is like a dragon-sized adrenaline shot straight to the heart. It’s got more epic moments than a lightsaber duel on Mustafar. Remember when Daenerys rode Drogon into battle? Well, multiply that by ten, add some medieval intrigue, and you’ve got this show. Episode 4 continues to deliver the intense drama and breathtaking visuals we’ve come to expect. It’s like Game of Thrones, but with fewer Starbucks cups.

Kaiju No. 8 Speaking of ready, buckle up for Kaiju No. 8! This manga is like a rollercoaster ride through a world where humans battle giant monsters. The story is gripping, the characters are compelling, and the action scenes are nothing short of spectacular. It’s like Godzilla meets The Office, but with more destruction and fewer awkward meetings.

My Ultimate Quentin Tarantino Films Last but not least, let’s rewind to the '90s—when action films were all about one-liners, leather jackets, and explosions. My top pick? Drumroll, please… “Die Hard”! Yippee-ki-yay, movie buffs! But if we’re talking Tarantino, my ultimate picks would be “Pulp Fiction” for its iconic dialogue and “Kill Bill” for its stylish action sequences. Because nothing says “ultimate film” like a samurai sword fight in a yellow jumpsuit. What are your thoughts on these shows and films?

    Any favorites or recommendations?
