Story
Only a small percent have learned that they can take their retirement dollars out of Wall Street and invest them elsewhere. For instance, they can invest in real estate; in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (very hot now); in gold and precious metals; in tax liens; in loans and mortgage notes. Some are even investing in things like Arabian race horses, treasure hunt amusement parks, Hollywood films, etc. An SD IRA opens up an entirely new field of opportunity that most people in the $20 trillion group have no idea exists.

Starting on the path toward financial independence is crucial, and real estate offers one of the best paths to financial freedom due to its tax advantages and accessibility to leverage for generating passive income. Having faced financial ruin after the 2008 economic meltdown, I achieved financial freedom in just three years and built generational wealth as the market rebounded. I invite you to embark on a journey that merges my personal experiences, wisdom gained from high-net-worth families, and a tried-and-true approach to real estate investing.

That means most Americans are destined to live with financial worries and concerns for the rest of their lives, right? Wrong! With his entertaining and informative style, New York Times best-selling author, actor, and financial pundit Ben Stein refutes the current notion that the corporate system is rigged against ordinary citizens and explains how corporate stock ownership is the best system ever devised.

David McKnight provides a concise, step-by-step roadmap on how to get to the zero percent tax bracket by the time you retire, effectively eliminating tax rate risk from your retirement picture. In this expanded edition, McKnight has updated the book with a new chapter on the "2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act", telling listeners how to navigate the new tax law in its first year of being in effect, and how they can extend the life of their retirement savings by taking advantage of it now.

Story
John Piper challenges fellow baby boomers to forego the American dream of retirement and live out their golden years with a far greater purpose in mind. They say it's a person's reward for all those years of labor. "Turn in your time card and trade in your IRAs. Let travel plans and golf-course leisure lead the way." But is retirement really the ideal? Or is it a series of poor options that ignore a greater purpose-and will kill a person more quickly than old age? John Piper responds,"Lord, spare me this curse!"

Story
There are a lot of misconceptions around annuities. Most of them revolve around the sale of variable annuities from brokers, where there is a lot of overpromising done, in my humble opinion. For example, a variable annuity is a security and therefore is an investment that inherently carries risk and comes with high fees. For variable annuities, three to six percent in fees could come out of the overall account value annually versus just a zero to one percent annual fee with a fixed indexed annuity.

Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Story
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Deborah Harkness first introduced the world to Diana Bishop, an Oxford scholar and witch, and vampire geneticist Matthew de Clermont in A Discovery of Witches. Drawn to each other despite long-standing taboos, these two otherworldly beings found themselves at the center of a battle for a lost, enchanted manuscript known as Ashmole 782. Since then, they have fallen in love, traveled to Elizabethan England, dissolved the Covenant between the three species, and awoken the dark powers within Diana’s family line.

There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

“You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.
