Story
It's a well known fact that H.P. Lovecraft was a horribly racist man, and that some of his earliest stories reflect that particular worldview. This can make it awkward for those who would like to listen to his work and see what all the fuss is about but don't want to have to wade through the putrid swamp of his views on people of color and immigrants. In response to this issue, I have put together this collection of the H.P. Lovecraft short stories written between 1917 and 1923, but with the omission of the really racist ones.

Story
One secret. One cult. One cosmic being. When his uncle dies, it’s up to Francis Wayland Thurston to finally uncover the family secret. For too long, recounts of dreams becoming reality had cast a sombre shadow over the family. And it seems these dreams didn’t die with the uncle. But when Francis discovers hidden notes of a mysterious cult, the truth turns darker than anyone could have ever imagined. A monster is on the rise. But one that is worshipped by those touched by evil, rather than feared.

Story
This is the same reading of The Call of Cthulhu that you'll find in Pulp-Lit Productions' 82-hour flagship omnibus collection, The Complete Weird-Fiction Works of H.P. Lovecraft. We've packaged it as an individual file for listeners who just want this story. This legendary 11,000-word novelette is the first piece of writing to come off H.P. Lovecraft’s pen after settling into his new home in his old home town of Providence, after his failed attempt to establish himself in New York the previous year.

Story

Story
Much like Celephaïs, the unnamed narrator recalls his dreams of drifting on a dreamy ship toward the west and exploring the mystical and ethereal land of the west. The narrator recalls that he always ended at an ivy wall with a gate in it. After years of unrelenting depression in the real world, the narrator decides that he will try and go through the gate of his dreams, wherein he swallows “the drug”. After opening the door, he realizes quickly (and to his delight) that his expectations of what lay beyond were completely wrong.

Story

Escape to the top step of the vault, linger for a moment, then discover a tale so articulately crafted you'll swear you smell the odor of decomposition emanating from your headphones as if "spurred on by a voice which must have come from the hideous soul of the forest". Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Story
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Deborah Harkness first introduced the world to Diana Bishop, an Oxford scholar and witch, and vampire geneticist Matthew de Clermont in A Discovery of Witches. Drawn to each other despite long-standing taboos, these two otherworldly beings found themselves at the center of a battle for a lost, enchanted manuscript known as Ashmole 782. Since then, they have fallen in love, traveled to Elizabethan England, dissolved the Covenant between the three species, and awoken the dark powers within Diana’s family line.

There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. “You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.
