يُهمل الكثير من الأهل مرحلة الطفولة المتوسطة وهي المرحلة الواقعة فعليًا بين 6-9 سنوات والتي تُعتبر فترة انتقالية ما بين الطفولة الاولى وفترة المراهقة فنجد الجميع يولي فترة ما بعد الولادة والأطفال في السنوات الأولى عناية كبيرة، الأمر ذاته مع المراهقين حيث تُعتبر فترة حرجة ومهمة لكن الأغلب ينسى مرحلة الطفولة المتوسطة والتي تُعتبر من أهم المراحل في حياة الطفل حيث تتفتّح الآفاق العقليه لديه ويبدأ بتعلّم المهارات الأكاديمية اليدوية كما تبدأ شخصيته بالتكوّن وجسده بالتغيّر.
