"101 Great American Poems" is a thoughtfully curated anthology that brings together a diverse collection of classic American poetry. the sunflower project is a poetic memoir that tells of the author's genesis; growing from the seed of innocence and naivety, almost withering into nothingness with the loss of self-love and self-worth, then being revitalized by rediscovery and restoration. after surviving emotional abuse and sexual assault, the author finally takes steps back to herself by telling her story through poems, and ultimately unfolds new petals kissed by the sunshine of freedom, healing, and the reclaiming of her identity.

Everythang Ain't Funny: Project Slang for a Hurtin' Thang, Life in the 'Jects is book two of the Unknown Kingdom Trilogy, which is a collection of poems, essays, and short stories that takes the listener into the cruel and unusual circumstances of project life. (i.e., ghetto life, the "hood", the 'jects....)

In the Land of the Free is where my father Leon Watson worked as a sharecropper, picking cotton in the hot, blistering cotton fields in South Carolina on his knees, on every day except Sunday. And let us not forget my grandmother, whose married name was James and my mother Jessie Watson, who worked in the homes scrubbing floors on their knees and helping raise your children until they were teens.
