About this listen

Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Yarros

Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.

But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.

She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.

Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom's protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.

Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Waiting For the Cursed Cliffhanger!

I wanted to get the audio book but read from comments that the performance was lacking a bit. I did listen to the sample for myself and thought it isn’t awful, it is not spectacular. I found out about the Graphic Audio version and was not disappointed! Huge Graphic Audio fan so of course I have to wait for February to listen to part 2. But this wait! Ugh! Killing me ever so softly in the best way. Yes, please and more thank you! Seriously such a good story so far, and glad for the sound effects and music( though they recycle some from ACORAT) but BABY! Grab that popcorn and Prosecco! It’s the self care date night you’ve literally been needing. So do the damn thing, you will thank me later.

Very well done

This is a very well done audio adaptation of the first part of the book. My only complaint is that Tairn and Kaori’s voices should be swapped. I haven’t heard a good Tairn voice yet.

Love love love. Don't listen to negative reviews

I’ve read this book 2-3 times, and had no idea books were being turned into “radio dramas”, I’m in love with this format!! It’s immersive, keeps you engaged, and really fun to listen to. Obviously everyone has their own vision of what voices sound like, but I think it was well done. Despite some comments being displeased that their voice interpretation wasn’t magically reproduced 100% to their liking, I think you should take those opinions with a grain of salt and enjoy the beautifully done adaptation.

The characters and story line

I love the different voices, loved the sound effects, and the music. The writing is great! I had love/hate relationships with some of the characters along the way. It had me on the edge of my seat, and the twist in the book! Absolutely amazing the love between them is again amazing. 10/10 would recommend. Starting second book now!

the details

How realistic the voices are to how I imagined them when I read the book! Feels like I'm there, or at the very least, watching everything happen. Very well done!

Exactly what I was looking for!

I can not wait for the second part of book 1 to come out. This was my first graphic audio book and it didn't disappoint. I'm just wondering when this series will be turned into a movie!

All the feels… 🙌🏻

I loved this dramatized adaptation. I saw this book on so many reviews, TikTok, etc and I thought… what the heck. I was so engrossed that I listened to this in almost one sitting! These stories performed in this manner makes so much of a difference. I cannot even begin to explain. If you love regular books read in duet format, you have to try the graphic audio dramatized adaptions.
I am waiting for February 9th so that I can hear the second installment!

Fabulous!! 5/5 recommend!

AMAZING!

I was skeptical about starting Fourth Wing because I am not a person who normally reads fantasy novels along this line. My cousin kept telling me to take the leap. Instead of grabbing it on kindle I thought an audiobook book would be great to help the days go by quicker at work this week while i do odd tasks. (I’m a dental assistant and with your dentist on vacation there isn’t much to do 😂) I make the mistake (i say mistake light heartedly) of using my credit in the graphic audio not realizing that part 2 has not released yet. It only took me a day & 1/2 to make it through part 1. I’m impatiently waiting the release of part to because I just can’t fathom trying to finish by the regular audio. I’m SO glad I took the leap on this book. It is GREAT!!!

Better voice selections.

Love the book but to me Xaden voice was a no!!!! I feel like they should of switched his and Aetos voice and it would have been better. Also Tarins voice was eh! Violets voice was okay.

Love the story I’ve read it twice.

It’s like a movie in your head

This is literally like a movie in your head, they do all the special effects. It’s wonderful. The story is fantastic. Character development is perfect. Can not wait for the second part 😍
