Audio Version is Essential

Riley has done a lovely job creating this book in tribute to Lisa. Equal parts haunting and informative, this is a sad but at times joyous memoir that is essential for fans of Lisa/Riley and Elvis. Readers will want to get both the physical copy as well as the audio book. While the book features a lovely design and photos, with the audio version you also get to hear some of Lisa's actual recordings. Getting to hear her own voice recalling her life is both devastating and heartwarming. Like getting to visit and old friend who isn't here anymore. Riley also does a wonderful job with her narration making the book a more concise read and listen. Finally Julia Roberts does an amazing job reading Lisa's words when her audio wasn't available. You'll cry a lot but this is a remarkable book. Thank you Riley Keough for honoring her mom in such a powerful way.

Expected more honest memories of her childhood, , the influence of her changing fathers and what caused the opioid addiction in most of the family members

From Here to the Great Unknown

I have been a lifelong Elvis fan. I have been listening to Lisa's story addictively, however it's dark, as she went through so much pain in her life. It is so evident that her children gave her meaning, purpose and so much joy.
Riley Keough and Julia Roberts do the narrating and they do an excellent job. This is 5 stars.

Amazing

This autobiography is amazing. The thing that stands out the most as you actually get to hear Lisa Marie Presley’s voice telling part of her story, which makes you feel like it’s really her story. Her daughter did an amazing job.

I’ve loved and followed Lisa Marie’s journey since I was a little girl. This book dove deep into who she really was and all facets of her and her family. A beautiful perfectly imperfect soul like the rest of us. So relatable. I absolutely love how this book is structured and hearing clips of her voice was everything. Soul Bearing

I’ve always been an Elvis fan, even though I was just 4 years old when he passed. I’ve always cheered and rooted for Lisa Marie. I could never imagine the pain she felt from losing her father. This book takes you through her life, as she just wanted to find herself and not be known for who her father was. Riley’s narration added to Lisa Marie’s story and made it so much more personal. I listened to this book in one day, I just couldn’t stop listening. Wonderful book and very insightful.

Open, raw, and honest. Lisa Marie had so much pain throughout her life. This book opened the door to how she really felt and explained a lot. More than what has been released to the public is discussed and Riley is so strong to read it. I hope this book helps someone as Lisa wanted it to.

This book shows the love and tragedy experienced by Lisa Marie. Riley’s love and admiration for her mother shines through the book. This is not like any other memoir I have read.
