About this listen

A new winter holiday, enemies-to-lovers romance, from the undeniably funny and always spicy, USA Today bestselling author, Meghan Quinn.

Living in a year around Christmas town has its drawbacks. The caroling, the decorations, the insanely cheery spirit, it never disappears. It's why I like to hibernate away in my cave - I mean housekeeping a healthy distance from the holly jolly spirits.

And all was going according to plan until my nemesis, Storee Taylor, moved in next door to care for her Aunt Cindy. Without blinking, she turned my simple world into a real nightmare-before-Christmas, especially when she decided to enter the town Christmas Kringle contest - which she was determined to win.

Well guess what? Over my cold-hearted body.

There was no way I was going to let her win, not after the history we'd shared.

So despite my promise to myself of never participating in the sickening Christmas season, I entered the competition as well. That's right, I planned on beating Storee at her own game by pretending this grump’s heart grew three sizes this season.

And it was working until feelings between us started heating up.

We pretended to date.

We kissed.

And well, sparks flew from there.

Which led to one explosive night involving Christmas lights, the competition, and a ladder. Don't let me convince you who stole Christmas, I think you need to find out for yourself . . .

The Perfect Holiday Rom-Com

Meghan Quinn does it again! I have to say that I was a bit hesitant when I first saw the page count, but I enjoyed every single second of this book. The banter is superior, the spice is spicy, and the Christmas references are top notch. Add in an incredibly heartwarming story and you have the perfect holiday rom-com. I may never look at a candy cane the same way again but I’m not mad about it. Haha. I cannot recommend this book enough!

Thank you to Meghan and her team for this ARC in return for my honest review. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

It had it all!

I laughed out loud, I cried, I swooned AND it was a Christmas story. Perfection. The voice actors were awesome, the story was adorable and honestly HILARIOUS. there were a few times I laughed so loud that I had to rewind it because I missed what came after. And the Queen of Spice delivered on the 🌶️. There MUST be a book on Max next Christmas 🙏

had me laughing out loud & giving me feels

After facing a tragedy 10 years ago Cole Black, the ultimate Christmas grump, is all about hibernating through the holidays.
Enter Storee Taylor, his old friend turned enemy and festive rival, who’s determined to win the town's Christmas Kringle contest.
Their banter is everything!
Watching their fake dating antics unfold is pure gold, especially as they start to realize their feelings are way more real than either of them expected.

What I loved most? The depth beneath the holiday fluff. Storee's journey of self-discovery while dealing with feelings of isolation and Cole's struggle with grief add so much heart to the story. Their growth together is super uplifting.

Plus, the audiobook cast is fire! Vanessa Edwin, J.F. Harding, Robert Hatchet, Emma Wilder, and Shane East.
I couldn’t put it down and finished it in a day.
If you're into grumpy-sunshine dynamics, small-town charm, and a sprinkle of spice, you NEED to check this out. Perfect for cozying up with some hot cocoa!

Laugh out loud and exactly what I needed!

I always know I can count on any Meghan Quinn title to make the day better. This book is no exception. A fun fabulous creative adult take on the classic Dr. Seuss's “The Grinch”. If you’re having a bad day, listening to this will make it better, or at the very least give you the perfect mental getaway for a few hours. The perfect combo of rom-com, enemies to more, opposites attract, some holiday competition, a whole lot of laughter that leads to a wonderful happily ever after. As I was listening to this I kept visualizing and casting it as a Hallmark movie. Storee is guilted by her family to go and take care of her Aunt Cindy after an accident. Aunt Cindy lives in a town that is Christmas obsessed. As in all year round. For Cole, who’d prefer to be left alone, living in a seriously overzealous happy town is annoying, but then having Storee move back in is to him a special kind of hell. Riotously funny hell! I loved this well narrated book and look forward to anything that comes next.

Best audio EVER

FALALALA and Jingle My Bells- because I am a HO HO HO for this book! Meghan has delivered the most clever, the most heartwarming, and the most festive holiday treat. How My Neighbor Stole Christmas is the perfect blend of heart, heat, humor, and all of that holiday cheer. This endlessly charming and delightfully witty holiday romp gave me all the warm fuzzies. It’s effortlessly heartfelt, uproariously funny, and chock full of the Christmas spirit. And it’s easily one of my favorite Meghan Quinn books ever- it captured my heart so fully (and yes, I shed a few “my heart is full tears) in the end) and it is so brilliantly nostalgic and warm. I could NOT have loved this book more. This Grinch inspired romcom certainly had my heart growing three sizes…move over Santa, this Grinchy fun is what Christmas is all about.

I just can NOT get over how deftly woven this story is. Every character detail, every town moment, all of the fun Christmas activities, the cadence of our narrator…all are so wonderful referential. Meghan has taken the spirit of the story yuletide ne’er do well turned Christmas savior and captured all of it’s essence, it’s heart, its themes and charm and harnessed it into her own wickedly funny and equally meaningful holiday love story. The Grinchy neighbor orphan Cole Black trying to steal the christmas content win, the best friend Max and their reindeer farm. Storee Taylor trying to find the meaning of Christmas (in the year round Christmas loving Kringletown), all the Who inspired characters, The Christmas Kringle contest (and all the epic activities), down to the makes me cry every time Who singing. Every detail is so perfectly curated, creatively inspired, fresh yet familiar all at once.

It’s tender and emotive- two characters who find themselves unexpectedly reconnecting with a holiday they’ve lost, with their family roots. Two characters desperately alone and isolated. It’s full of gentle but poignant scenes of vulnerability and self-discovery. But it’s also so funny- the banter, the antics, the push and pull. It’s so delicious. And it’s just so entertaining.

The full cast audio is a TREAT! And every role is so perfectly cast. HF Harding is SOOO delicious (can we please get more of him!) and as always Vanessa Edwin is so fun. Robert Hatchet is so good as Max (I legit adored this performance in particular), Emma Wilder is always amazing. And Shane East as the narrator is delightful - and so charming. Perhaps the best audio I’ve ever listened to- that’s how much I adored it!

Cole starts off as the worst. Fun Christmas book though.

I had fun w this when it was about Christmas and everything Story goes through but Cole is just. The worst. He may have a redemption but how he handles situations is like reading a man child. Get ready to skip some areas when he throws a man tantrum instead of going to therapy. That’s said have fun! It’s grinch meets Hallmark movie

This book stole more than Christmas

This book was SO good. I don't know how Meghan Quinn does it, book after book! The humor has me busting out with full belly laughs. Caution, if you listen in public be prepared.

The intimate scenes are open door, including with a candy cane which will change how you look at them.

Narration is in duet and narrators Vanessa Edwin and J.F. Harding do a phenomenal job. The full cast is Robert Hatchet, Emma Wilder, and Shane East is the narrator of the story in the book. This cast absolutely makes the audio book!
