Answer to my prayers!

I was referred to this book by a friend when I was about to throw the towel in on homeschooling. I was frustrated and cried daily. My son was testing me every minute of every day and my children were fighting all the time. This book had me in tears...not sad tears but years of relief! It only took 2 days to get through this wonderful book. In these past 2 days I can see a difference in my household already!!!! Thank God for this book and Mr Dobson!

a must read!

My grandma gifted me this book at the baby shower of our first born. I'm not a "reader" and it must have gotten lost in one of our moves. Fast forward almost 10 years later and I found myself desperately searching for answers when it came to my third born, VERY strong willed child. I was at wits end and was so lost about what to do with him. I prayed about it and one day I remembered the book my sweet, quiet grandma had gifted me.... Let's just say I listened to the book the first time and it was so relatable that I cried more than just a couple times. (I've never been one to cry) I then listened to the book 2 more times, taking notes and making sure nothing was missed.
It's only been a few weeks but I can definitely tell that there are changes happening in my son. I know it will be a long road since we had a late start (he's almost 6) but I trust the good Lord that I have the answers and tools I was so desperately searching for!
I encourage every new parent/parent to be to read this book and it will probably be my go to for future baby showers.

Great solid book

Dobson did a great job with this book. I really enjoyed the interview in the second chapter and the rest of the book sounded like a conversation. Very good narrator.

Read the First Version? So What! Read This New One

This is updated to the technology era of today and an absolute MUST-READ for any Christian parent with a strong-willed child, which I believe most kids are these days.
I am so grateful I decided to invest in this book! I can't wait to apply it's knowledge in our home.

Great advice

I think this is a book I’ll need in print so that I can review it on repeat and highlight away. I also plan to have my husband listen/read.

An invaluable resource full of Godly wisdom!

This book gave me reassurance that my husband and I are not alone in struggling to raise strong-willed children in loving, Christian homes, and it gave us tangible and practical tools to use immediately. The fact that Dr. Dobson roots everything he says in Biblical truth gives me confidence that his advice is consistent with God’s truth and his desire for families. This is an inspiring and confidence-building book for those who are blessed to be entrusted with strong-willed children!

What an encouragement the second time around!

I will be re playing this yearly until my kids are grown! As we adopt an older child and go through some challenges that are unique I have found tremendous encouragement again from Dr Dobsons foundations!! Thank you Jesus-for this book!

Evangelical Christian-based book

While there is nothing wrong with taking a Christian-based perspective to child raising, I do believe the fact this book relies solely on Christianity should have been included in the description. Those who are Jewish, Muslim or agnostic will likely feel disconnected when reading this book. If you want a book focused on raising a Strong-Willed child rather than stories about parents praying or “laying hands” on their children, I would suggest a myriad of other books available.
