Holly Lorincz is a popular speaker at writing conferences and is a successful developmental editor, collaborative writer, and award-winning author. Her office is two blocks from an Oregon beach and two steps from a bookstore, three from a coffee shop, four from a brewhouse. She is well aware she leads the perfect life for a book nerd who occasionally likes to be on a stage. But her hands hurt. She's written ten books in the past few years. She is currently working as a collaborative writer with reality TV star Evelyn Lozada on a two-book fiction deal for St. Martin's Press -- the first is THE DUKE AND I, due out Spring 2019. Her collaborative non-fiction book CROWN HEIGHTS, released last December, has Holly currently ranked in Amazon’s top #50 Kindle Biography/Memoir writers, and top #100 in print Biography/Memoir. The book is a companion to the major movie, and one of two works used to launch a new publishing imprint within Amazon, called Amazon Original Stories. The other book was The Sign of the Beast by Joyce Carol Oates. Her first general fiction book, SMART MOUTH, won a national award (the 2014 Bronze Independent Publishers Book Award) and has been optioned for a TV series. THE WHISKEY PASSPORT and HOW TO SURVIVE A DAY IN PRISON (Skyhorse Publishing, with collaborator John Fuller) were released in 2017. THE EVERYTHING GIRL: A NOVEL (Skyhorse Publishing, with collaborator L. Maleki) will be in bookstores August 2018 and is being considered as a movie. She's also published two books on writing with Chip MacGregor, president of MacGregor Literary (one of the top five agencies in the U.S.), which were endorsed by Writer's Digest. Once upon a time, she was the editor of a literary magazine and then a nationally recognized instructor, teaching literature, speech and writing at the high school and college level. What she really likes to brag about? She created a speech and debate team at her tiny rural school, giving fringe kids an opportunity to use their voices, many of whom have gone on to be politicians, lawyers, and community leaders. Twice her team brought home the State Championship title for Oregon Speech and Debate, and nine of her kids became state champs in their individual events. In 2010, Holly started a successful editing company, Lorincz Literary Services, which employs a highly-educated, talented, and hard-working crew of professional book and screenplay editors.
