Hijo de padre francés, madre costarricense, creció en Nueva York. Arquitecto, organista, chef, escribe desde los 16 años. 1976 Premio Nacional de Literatura por el libro de relatos: El Agua Secreta. 1992 Premio Nacional de Literatura por el libro de relatos: Los Ojos del Arrecife. 1993 Mención Honorífica del Certamen Juan Rulfo, en París, por el relato: “La Niña de las Flores Eternas”. Otras publicaciones: 1994 Historia de los Pufis; 2008 Un Domingo de Palomas (relatos) 2017 El Silencio Púrpura (novela histórica 550 páginas sobre la emperatriz Irene, SVIII Constantinopla) Cuentos publicados en diversas antologías (Alemania, USA, Costa Rica). Tiene 5 novelas y 3 libros de relatos aún no publicados. Vivo parte del año en Costarica, la otra en Italia. Contacto: mangokasha@gmail.com French father, costarican mother, I grew up in NYC. Architect, organist, chef, I started writing when I was 16. Won a junior literature prize in Florida. I mostly write in Spanish. In 1976 I was awarded in Costa Rica the National Prize of Literature for a short story book “El Agua Secreta”; in 1992 the National Prize of Literature for the short story book “Los Ojos del Arrecife”; 1993 awarded an Honorary Mention in the international contest Juan Rulfo Paris for the story “La Niña de las Flores Eternas”. 1994 published La Historia de los Pufis”; 2008 “Un Domingo de Palomas”. In 2017 published an historical novel (550 pages) on the Empress Irene of Constantinople (8th. Century). Several stories have been published in anthologies (Germany, US. Costa Rica). I have 5 unpublished novels and 3 short story books. I spend part time in Costa Rica, the rest in Italy. Contact mangokasha@gmail.com
