"Operazione Anthropoid" era il nome in codice per l'assassinio di Reinhard Heydrich, capo del Centro di Sicurezza Principale del Reich (i servizi di sicurezza combinati della Germania nazista), generale delle SS e simbolo del Reich nel Protettorato di Boemia e Moravia. L'operazione fu condotta a Praga il 27 maggio 1942, dopo essere stata preparata dagli Inglesi con l'approvazione del governo in esilio cecoslovacco. Anche se solo ferito durante l'attacco, Heydrich morì per le complicazioni qualche giorno più tardi, il 4 giugno 1942.
