Richard Baker is an author of science fiction and fantasy novels as well as an award-winning game designer. "Breaker of Empires," his current series of military sci-fi novels, follows the naval officer Sikander North and his adventures in a future age of Great Power rivalries and imperial ambitions. "Restless Lightning" (book 2 of the series), is available this October in trade paperback, audio book, and e-book formats. "Valiant Dust" (book 1) is currently available in mass market paperback. Rich is also known for his work on the Dungeons & Dragons game, the Alternity game, and his Forgotten Realms novels, including the New York Times bestseller "Condemnation" and the highly-acclaimed "Last Mythal" trilogy. A veteran of the US Navy, Rich resides in the Seattle area with his wife Kim and their daughters, Alex and Hannah. His interests include Golden Age science fiction, history, hiking, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
