I’ve listened to more of these than I’d care to share here, but this has show the best promise of almost all of them. MC isn’t a doofus, the growth system isn’t too fast or too slow, and there isn’t any time spent on useless babbling or side characters. Looking forward to book 2!

awesome book great step up
I listened to chrysalis from this author prior and it was a solid book, not the very best litrpg but I did finish it and it was fine.
this is a great step up in writing quality.

Awesome
The book has an excellent progression with the MC. It’s hard to find that balance. The book has earned my credit and I’m more than willing to continue the series at this point. Book 2 is downloaded!

Solid litrpg
Putting a proper review here upon seeing the only other review admiting they had not listened past chapter 9 in 50 plus chapter book...... Any ways great narration plus deep characters with real reactions and macinations. Good solid litrpg with a morally skewed main character. Think Otto Shenk from portal wars with good intentions.

Good book. Ready for more.
Good book. Most characters are "flawed" in some way. Leading to It reading kind like a grungy dark fantasy. Which im here for! Fun book with interesting enough story. I will for sure picking up the next one and seeing where this goes.
The main character is bookish but not a genius or overly adept at anything outside magic. Also Dove is my second favorite side character iv ever experienced. 10/10.
Hope Book 2 gets narrated soon!
