Publisher's summary

A chilling, true tale of terror, rape, and murder in the Arkansas River bottoms.

On a cold January morning in 1981, a knock on an apartment door began what would become one of the bloodiest crime sprees in Arkansas history. In the coming days the bodies of newlyweds Larry and Jawana Price, businessman Holly Gentry, and Police Detective Ray Tate were discovered. They had been executed in cold blood and discarded like so much trash.

What kind of person murders four people in cold blood? Did the right one go to prison?

true story

The author's version of what happened is consistent to accounts I also have heard within my hometown of Kibler, AR. He most definitely had at least one accomplice. Perhaps, tracks well covered up or possibly not persuaded by law enforcement or DA.

Well written and true account of facts.

The time it took to write this story.

Most true crimes that I read are at least 10 hours long. However, this writer was able to tell this story in less than 5 hours and it was great.

COULDN'T STOP LISTENING!!!

I devoured this book. I couldn't stop listening and when I had to, I couldn't wait to put my headphones back in and listen. I love how the author mentioned the connection to this story to her previous two books, "Closing Time" and "Blind Rage". This is a great story for True Crime fans or anyone who just likes adventure and excitement!

Close to home

The book was really good and kept my interest throughout. It was local to me so hearing all the places and businesses and street names I kept think I know exactly where they are talking about. I was just a kid when this happened so I didn’t know about the murders prior to listening to this book. I really enjoyed this book.
