Publisher's summary

She promised her love would set him free. He promised he’d break her. They were both right.

Brady Hewitt was all too familiar with the horrors of war. They clung to him, or maybe he clung to them, using the nightmares as an excuse to keep others at bay—especially his boss’ daughter, Hadley Walker. Beautiful, sexy, ambitious, and forbidden. Not just because the former Special Forces soldier respected her father and liked his job, she was too good for him—all sunshine and smiles while he was darkness and filth.

Hadley Walker knew all about love—how it felt, its power, and its ability to heal. Her parents taught her first, then her uncles, cousins, and siblings. Her family taught her something else—never quit, never retreat, and never turn your back on those you love. Hadley’s mission was simple—convince the man she’d fallen in love with to take a chance. But winning the battle wouldn’t be simple. Brady Hewitt was as stubborn as he was traumatized, clutching to his demons and refusing to let them go. Though Hadley’s persistence gave her a tactical advantage—the more she pushed, the more he wanted to believe.

Just as Hadley’s winning the war, with Brady teetering on the edge of all the beauty they could share, disaster strikes. Ugliness wraps itself around Brady’s heart and he shuts down. Leaving Hadley with one last question: who was right—her or Brady?

Does love conquer all, or are there some nightmares that people never let go?

Fell in LOVE with the narrators and the book!

After listening to the Next Generation series, I knew that Triple Canopy series was going to be good. I was looking forward to Brady and Hadley were going to be an entertaining story but I was not ready for how much I’d love this audio. I have to say the narrators were amazing. I was busy doing something and listening to a recap of the next generation from Hadley’s point of view which was interesting because we never really heard her take on it. Then Connor Crais’s voice boomed through the speaker as “Brady” started talking, yes please! If you have read/listened to any of Riley’s books then you know that she is going to bring you emotions that you weren’t ready for. I absolutely loved this story even though part of it were heartbreaking. I loved how Brady’s broken heart was put back together and healed throughout this one and how the whole family got involved. Hadley is a strong woman who knows exactly what she wants out of life but falling in love with Brady she has to face a few challenges that she never saw coming. I love the strong characters and family! I can’t wait for Flawed and I’m so excited that the rest of the series audio will be released this year.

Hadley and Brady

Hadley and Brady are starting this series off to perfection! Hadley comes from a family of warriors. She was a spitfire and everything she wanted was a fight she was willing to take. She never backed down to anything thrown at her because, well that’s all she knows. She’s known Brady for a very long time and his family loves him like one of their own but there are things that he has kept from Hadley, including distance.

Brady is a fighter and a hero. His life was hard after losing his sister to the last person he would ever expect. It is by far the hardest thing he has dealt with but there are also some demons that he has placed so deep there’s only one person who can and will take them head on. He loves Hadley and wants to protect her from everything in the world.

Hadley and Brady have a lot coming at them and things will be revealed. Are they strong enough to fight them? Can the strong family dynamic help them get through it all? Will the danger get worse? The narrators brought this story together and kept you wanting more!

Wonderful Story

Hadley Walker is a strong, smart, beautiful librarian. Who has decided it’s time to go after her man.
Brady Hewitt is a strong and handsome former Military, who works at Triple Canopy.
When Brady finally decides it’s time to go ahead and claim his women that’s when the sparks fly. I adored Hadley and Brady’s story. There was lots of emotion throughout, lots of sexiness, some laughter, some a little disturbing, but so much heart felt emotion. I loved how the Walker family took Brady in as their own before he ever even realized it. The narrators on the audio did a wonderful job of portraying the emotions throughout. I highly recommend this audio.

Here for all the romantic suspense!

𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘥 is the first book in the Triple Canopy series. I love how all of Riley’s books are interconnected with each other and we continue to get glimpses of past characters in new stories so we get to see what they’ve been up to. This book focuses on Hadley and Brady and it brought all the emotions. Laughter and fear, steam and love, danger and safety, heartache and healing, tears and smiles.

Hadley and Brady have been attracted to each other since the first time they laid eyes upon one another four years ago. Brady has kept his distance due to a secret from his past and he truly believes he is too damaged to deserve love from anyone. However, Hadley has had enough and is going after what she wants. She will do whatever she needs to in order to make Brady hers and will stop at nothing to achieve it.

Riley never fails in giving her readers suspension and mayhem when writing her books. There is always danger lurking around the corner and it has you sitting on the edge of your seat anxiously awaiting to see what happens next. Trust me when I say Riley has your heart palpitating, you biting your nails, screaming at your book, and wiping tears from your eyes toward the end of this book.

Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright were the dream team at bringing this book to life! Connor was the perfect narrator to voice Brady’s moody, protective, damaged and loving soul. The ability Connor has with his inflections and tone during the most heart wrenching and fearful moments leaves you breathless. It’s truly remarkable the talent this man has with giving listeners the wide range of Brady’s quiet strength yet broken guilt throughout this book. Mackenzie does an incredible job with portraying Hadley’s confidence and sassy persona all rolled into one. She has this uncanny ability to pull you in with her voice and not let go. Mackenzie is definitely a narrator I’ll continue to listen to because the sheer talent she delivers is astounding.

Ok couple things...

I love all of Riley Edwards books.. But I found one problem with all of them.. The women get on my nerves to a certain extent..
They harp on things like Holding onto a grudge, not trusting, being mouthy , not forgiving, and other things making the strong alpha men beg..
In the last series the friends had to say to each of the women..
Do you want to be happy or right..

The thing is it's ok for them to feel how they feel but they go on and on about things to the point it takes away from the story for me .

Riley is an awesome writer but please lay off the repetitive stuff ..
Also I hate the other series where the women make a huge mistake by not listening and turn around and do something else stupid by not listening.

Especially in Carter and Delaney's book the first time she didn't listen it cost her huge . Then when she was warned about something else she argued and would not listen and she almost died .

With Nick's book him and his wife adopted twins one girl one boy but in another book it said they had 2 boys..
With this book the male narrator is so blah the way he reads yikes it drives me crazy ..

Ok let me finish by saying I enjoyed all the series and happy I used credits or paid for each book the good well outweighs the bad I just had to vent in certain things.

You had me at Connor🥰

You had me with sexy AF Connor Crais as Brady! You hooked me with their perfectly imperfect story. You won me with Hadley’s family…and now Brady’s family.

I love this family that Riley has created. No questions asked they are there 110%. They never judge and always have your back.

Definitely looking forward to this new spinoff and the rest of Triple Canopy.
