Publisher's summary

We Mackenzies are henchmen. The whole lot of us. Until I met her....

Leith

In Clan MacKenzie, we fight for each other. We die for each other. And when I fell for Chevelle, those same rules applied to her. She loves me, but hates the family business. So, I hid the villain in me until today. Today, I need to do what must be done and that requires the help of the same people she would rather us keep our distance from.

Chevelle

After tragedy destroyed my family, I should’ve run from all things MacKenzie, not straight into Leith Mackenzie's arms. I was broken. He remade me. Loved me and our little baby. Showed me that monsters could be humans and have hearts, too. That he could be different than the rest of his ruthless clan. Unfortunately, now, Leith can't be the hero for me that he was before. He needs to be that Savage Scot instead, and I'm afraid it'll cost us everything.

Die For You is the first book in the MacKenzie Crime Family series. This steamy love story of two childhood lovers is a stand-alone and contains no cliff-hangers, no cheating, and has a HEA. This is a mature new adult romance.

I Love it!!

Amarie has done her thing again. I am a sucker for a good Mafia story. JT Farrell ... OMG amazing! Love him! He had the accent down. I'm glad I got the audible for that reason alone. I know me reading this book would have been hard for me to follow the Scottish slang. JT really brings life to the story. The back story and the build of the characters are easy to follow and keeps you engaged. I'm ready for the next book. Then on the other hand Robyn Isaacs not a fan. At first I thought she was reading the younger version of Chevelle. I had to listen twice just to make sure. Her voice to me sounded a little pre teenish not mature enough for the character. To me it took away a little of the story. JT would have been amazing all by himself like in Fearless. But all in all great start to this new series!

wonderful story

i loved the story. it has alot of mystery and violence , love and family thatball comes together. The only thing I had trouble with was sometimes when he spoke with the Irish accent u couldn't understand what he said. Other than that it was good.

HAWT Scottish romance!

I enjoyed every second of listening to Leith and Chevelle's story! The male and female narrator brought the story to life. Give this a try if you're looking for action, drama, and excellent bedroom times!

inner strength

I enjoyed following these two strong main characters who lived hard and loved even harder. They seemed to be bound together beyond this earthly plane and fed off of each other. I loved the journey. I look forward to Brody and Justice. There's sure to be plenty of fire there. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters and story to life.

Accents are my Weakness

Leith is a man after my heart. If you don't fall for the accent, you have to fall head over heels for his undying love for his wife, Chevelle.

Chevelle presents a lot of the obstacles within the storyline, although I understand her pain and questionable thoughts, I wish she received healing prior to the events that took place within the storyline. I found myself wanting to fuss at her for some of the conclusions she recklessly jumped to, and state that communication could've have avoided a lot of what occurred.

The two paired together holds a different flame to the idea of relationship goals. I was not only glue to the book for Leith's devilish accent but the passion that the two showed one another both while arguing and professing their love.

Great story!

Loved the narrators. JT Farrell has done some of Amarie's other books and he's done an exceptional job on all of them! That Scottish brogue, wow.
Chevelle did have me yelling at her a few times because she was so quick to jump to the wrong conclusions instead of talking to her husband. Loved Leith and his family. Brody's story should be something else. Great job.

Leith and Chevelle

This was a great Mafia romance. I also enjoy reading mixed couple romance. Amarie Avant is a new to me author and this was a well written story. Leith and Chevelle had their moments where you wish they would just get to the point, but I loved them together. I highly recommend this book.
