Falling Asleep with falling water

Falling asleep with falling water was by far the best audio I’ve listened to. Candace Parker delivers the story perfectly!I I highly recommend this.

Relaxing meditative journey to Fallingwater

A nice relaxing read/listen before bedtime. The narrator did a great job immersing you into the atmosphere - after this meditative trip, and realizing it’s not so far away, I’ve added it to my bucket list of places to visit!

The author included a lot of factual information and I just personally found it a little distracting from the meditation style that it started from, but this book isn’t listed as a pure mediation - I think it was an interesting style of literary technique though, and give a huge nod to the power of the history of the place soaking through in my little mental picture I created by audio visit (which wasn’t too off from the actual building itself, when I looked it up- which has me give even more props to the author and narrator for describing it so realistically). Thx for the mini vaca I needed 😂

Somniferous audio book😴

This is probably umpteenth time that I listened to this audio book, Fallingwater by Jenna McKnight. Each time it's played in the night, I fell asleep almost immediately and never really got to enjoy the visual descriptions of Fallingwater. I played in the day time a few times and either couldn't focus or felt drowsy again. So, finally made a point to listen to it fully today and I did! Yay!

Fallingwater, one of the beautiful architectural buildings, has been on our list of places to visit. After listening to this audio book, it is further inspiring to visit Fallingwater. I first learnt of Frank Lloyd Wright after listening to the audio book, The Fountainhead, by Ayn Rand. The main character of the book, Howard Roark was based on Frank Lloyd Wright. So, it was good to listen to Fallingwater as it gave a glimpse into Frank Lloyd Wright's childhood, inspiration, beliefs and designing style along with nice architectural details about Fallingwater though somehow it made me sleepy. :)

This is one of the good audio books before bed time. The narration by Candace Parker was wonderful. It's probably her soothing voice and way of narration that had made me sleepy. This audio book is certainly worth being a part of favorites and sleep collection. :)

Great Narration

Works like a charm every time! I really enjoy this narrator and love that they don't sound like they're trying to whisper!! Their volume & tone make it very easy to set a low volume and allow myself to be lulled to sleep😴

Very soothing and interesting!

I love the cadence of Candace Parker’s voice! I’ve listened to this story at least 5 times and I never get to the end; I always fall asleep!🤣 What I am awake for tho is very interesting; I’ve never heard of Falling Water and I am curious to research it now! But, would that ruin the magic? Anywho, this one and The Tea Shoppe are my favorites of the Audible Bedtime Stories!

Awful narrator.

I’ve always been interested in Frank Lloyd Wright so this seemed right up my alley. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it past the first 10 minutes. The narrator was intolerable and this was anything but relaxing.

Narration was a problem for me

The story is interesting. I had to listen to it several times to finish it as the cadence was off. There was no conversational flow as it sounded like she was reading instead of telling a story.

Well at least the idea was nice

Narration is choppy and doesn’t seem to have the sort of graceful flow one might hope for in such a piece. Perhaps the writing wasn’t a joy for the narrator to read? I couldn’t tell since I needed to turn it off. This one wasn’t for me.

Tranquility

I was able to feel a calm, soothing embrace while I walked through the home. I could touch every corner, see the delicate and loving parts of every part through which I walked. The narrator’s voice was so gentle, so careful, so respectful of Falling Water, as though she felt its humanity.
