Years after suffering the tragic loss of her husband, Ethan, which left her alone to raise their young daughter, Clare Murray still holds the last letter he wrote with the words "When You're Ready" written in his familiar messy handwriting, unable to break its weathered seal. Ready for what? He was her entire world, and Clare had accepted a life without him, without love. Until years later fate brings her to an emergency room and face-to-face with a stormy-eyed doctor intent on changing her mind.
Son of a billionaire, Logan Matthews has spent his life trying to make his absentee father proud. Without a family to depend on, all he's ever wanted is a place to call home. After a failed marriage, Logan believes he's unworthy of love...until he meets a woman who awakens his spirit and transforms his entire life in an instant. But how far are Clare and Logan willing to go for love? Can his love mend the pieces of her grieving heart?
When their love is tested, is Clare ready to put her whole heart on the line again? Can Logan learn the true meaning of love, even if it means sacrificing his own happiness? When a second chance at love is given, Clare and Logan learn you are never truly ready until you're ready to risk it all.

There is no bigger public health story now than the collapse in youth mental health. The numbers are terrifying and dominate our headlines. There has been much debate over how we got here, and what to do next, and bestselling author and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt is at the white-hot center of that discourse. Haidt has spent his career speaking wisdom and truth into the most difficult landscapes—communities polarized by politics and religion, campuses battling culture wars, and now the perfect storm contributing to a public health emergency for Gen Z.

Daphne always loved the way her fiancé Peter told their story. How they met (on a blustery day), fell in love (over an errant hat), and moved back to his lakeside hometown to begin their life together. He really was good at telling it…right up until the moment he realized he was actually in love with his childhood best friend Petra.

This book was truly amazing. It
I'm really glad I listened to this book and thank you audible and the author for giving it for free. The background music definitely made it better it added a since of being, a more personal touch full of emotion. As the book was narrated the background music definitely made me imagine the moment. Claire and Logan met in the most unusual of places, in the ER while covered in vomit while holding her daughter. It was attraction at first sight, Logan was immediately captivated by Claire's beauty. I really loved loved loved the way this book ended, with a happily ever after they both needed after experiencing such devastating moments in their lives. This is definitely a happily ever after book that endured. Heartache, heartbreak, suffering, loss, and healing. It will have you in tears I guarantee it. This is a must read.

Emotional, Loving, well told
I read this book a couple of years ago and loved the story then. The audio version brought out the emotions even more. This version has the addition of music and sound effects, which at first distracted from the story but soon became a mood and tone setter for the scenes. There were a few areas where the background sounds overshadowed the narration, but not many.
Carly Robins did an amazing job in bringing Clare to life. Scott Aiello has just the right amount of sexiness in his voice to make you swoon from the first word. Both of these narrators are new to me and I'm so glad I found them.
I recommend giving this version a try. I really enjoyed it.

Sweet love story dealing with illness and loss
This was a very sweet love story (for mature audiences). I enjoyed the characters' dynamic, and the way Logan interacted with Maddie was very sweet. I didn't find it to be super unique or different from other similar stories I have read, but did enjoy this just the same. The readers did a good job, and i really enjoyed the sound effects, but found the music to be quite distracting during much of the book. Also, i thought it didn't always fit the mood - sometimes there would be jokes, with this tragic music playing in the background making me feel like I was at a funeral. But I was laughing. It was disconcerting - I would have liked it better with no music at all. All in all, a nice easy read for those who like romance novels and don't mind a little more mature content.

Beautiful Story - Awful backnoise!
What did you like best about When You're Ready [Soundtrack Edition]? What did you like least?
I LOVED the story, narration was great. The background noise added was too distracting. Only thing that kept me going, is that it really is a good story. I really wished only the narrators' voices were a part of the audiobook.
Which character – as performed by Carly Robins and Scott Aiello – was your favorite?
Both main characters were great, but I did not like when they made the voice for someone else, when "Logan" read "Gabe's" voice, for example.

You'll swoon, laugh and cry...be prepared!
If you could sum up When You're Ready [Soundtrack Edition] in three words, what would they be?
Heartbreakingly Beautiful, Funny, Swoon-worthy
Who was your favorite character and why?
Maddie is my favorite. I absolutely adored this little girl. She beats to her own drum and you can't help but fall for her.
However, I really enjoyed all the characters. Each brings something to the story.
What does Carly Robins and Scott Aiello bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Realism.
I found that Carly did an excellent job as Claire. She made me see Claire in a way that I might not have. She was soft-spoken and I loved her voice for Maddie. I seriously thought it was a kid not a grown woman.
Scott brings Logan to life. He adds the emotions for a character that I wasn't sure if I was going to like him right at first. I wasn't too keen on his female voice, but I got past it.
I liked both narrators and they both were new too me, so that is always good. Sometimes you love a book, but don't care for the narrators. This was not the case. I would listen to them again.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The letter....was a big part. But the whole book is so beautiful and the story sucks you so you get easily lost in all the moments.
Any additional comments?
So I really enjoyed the Soundtrack addition of this story. I think it adds more realism to the audio, meaning I felt like I was watching/feeling everything unfold. I can't really explain it.
Claire is such a strong character. She's smart, brave and does the best she can given her circumstances. Maddie is the only thing that brought Claire from not falling into deep depression. These two are peas in a pod. They feed off each other and it was a beautiful thing to read.
Logan has his own demons from his past. His father was absent and awful to him, never showed him any love. His marriage has failed, so basically he's given up on love until he meets Claire unexpectedly. He is drawn to her and Maddie. I really like how he took everything in with Claire especially Maddie. He and Maddie just clicked and I so loved that!
The chemistry between them is hot! It felt so real and I liked that they didn't rush into things. They got to know each other, spend time with each before jumping into bed. Logan wanted to make sure that Claire was truly over Ethan before they took the next step. He wanted to be the one she thought of, that truly owned her soul and heart now. It was so believable.
I highly recommend this book. If you want a book that will give you the feels this is it! JL Berg writes some intense, gripping and raw moments. But she also gives us swoon worthy, steamy and sweet moments that will have you falling in love with her characters and her stories.
I knew nothing going into the book as I have not read this series, but I have read other books by this author. I can honestly say that she is going to be up in my authors to watch for.
Audio given for honest review.
