Story
When a young man is found gruesomely murdered in a London houseboat, it triggers questions about three women who knew him. Laura is the troubled one-night-stand last seen in the victim’s home. Carla is his grief-stricken aunt, already mourning the recent death of yet another family member. And Miriam is the nosy neighbor clearly keeping secrets from the police. Three women with separate connections to the victim. Three women who are – for different reasons – simmering with resentment. Who are, whether they know it or not, burning to right the wrongs done to them.

Beth Montgomery seems to have the perfect life: a beautiful house in the hills above Los Angeles, a handsome, ambitious husband, and plans of starting a family. So it doesn't occur to her to worry when the news breaks of a quadruple homicide across town, a botched drug deal that leaves an undercover officer among the dead. Beth certainly would never think to tie the murders to the sudden reappearance in her life of wild, sexy Cassie Ogilvy, the estranged best friend she hasn't seen since they were college roommates.

An evocative drama about a woman caught leading a double life after one husband murders the other, and the true-crime writer who becomes obsessed with telling her story—this masterful work of literary suspense marks the debut of an extraordinary new writer
The dance becomes an affair, which becomes a marriage, which becomes a murder...
In 1985, Lore Rivera marries Andres Russo in Mexico City, even though she is already married to Fabian Rivera in Laredo, Texas, and they share twin sons. Through her career as an international banker, Lore splits her time between two countries and two families—until the truth is revealed and one husband is arrested for murdering the other.
In 2017, while trawling the internet for the latest, most sensational news reports, struggling true-crime writer Cassie Bowman encounters an article detailing that tragic final act. Cassie is immediately enticed by what is not explored: Why would a woman—a mother—risk everything for a secret double marriage? Cassie sees an opportunity—she’ll track Lore down and capture the full picture, the choices, the deceptions that led to disaster. But the more time she spends with Lore, the more Cassie questions the facts surrounding the murder itself. Soon, her determination to uncover the truth could threaten to derail Lore’s now quiet life—and expose the many secrets both women are hiding.
Told through alternating timelines, More Than You’ll Ever Know is both a gripping mystery and a wrenching family drama. Presenting a window into the hearts of two very different women, it explores the many conflicting demands of marriage and motherhood, and the impossibility of ever truly knowing someone—especially those we love.
"A seductive, urgent tale about desire, family, the pursuit of truth, and the art of storytelling, More Than You’ll Ever Know will astonish readers with its vastness, romance, tragedy, and abundant heart. I didn’t want this book to ever end." — JESSAMINE CHAN, New York Times bestselling author of The School for Good Mothers
"A gripping and thoughtful exploration of motherhood and marriage, the complexity of female desire, and the consequence of our obsession with true crime . . . One of the best suspenseful dramas I’ve read in years. An exceptional, stunning debut—I absolutely loved it." — ASHLEY AUDRAIN, New York Times bestselling author of The Push

Story
Award-winning poet Marisa de los Santos crafts an irresistibly touching debut novel. Love Walked In is a contemporary tale, steeped in nostalgic, cinematic charm, of love in all its forms. Unapologetically idealistic about love, Cornelia Brown appears to catch the break of a lifetime when the dashing Martin Grace, her own personal Cary Grant, comes strolling into her life. But it is Martin's connection to 11-year-old Clare Hobbes that touches Cornelia's heart in ways she never imagined.

beautiful and unexpected
Although I wouldn’t call this book a romance or a thriller, it does feel very romantic, I’m a feminine and unexpected way. A solid unpredictable ending, and an authentic perspective on the nuance of being a human. There are many Spanish bits but they’re easy to figure out with context clues and are never vital to the story.

Great Read Finished in 3 days- Couldn’t Stop
I kept thinking did this really happen? Could it happen? I don’t want to give everything away - so will just note that this scenario is typically told with the roles reversed. Then to hear it from her perspective .,. Well it was really thought-provoking. I completely recommend this book and the narrators. The few endearing Spanish words just add flavor.

Love is a powerful thing..
I loved every part of this story! The journalist Cassy uncovering this true crime story filled with passion, romance, family bonds, lies, drama everything on the verge of exploding with secrets hidden all over- well worth the read! You think you know the truth and meaning behind it all but it’s all a surprise! This book showed the power of storytelling and the layers of who we are as women. Highly recommend!

Loved this
I highly recommend this beautiful book. All of the characters are fleshed out so well. The narration is spectacular. Yes, there’s a little Spanish and some Spanglish too. If you’re able to understand context it is not a problem. This is a beautiful story, I didn’t want it to end. 5 ⭐️ for me and a written whole hearted recommendation, which takes a really good book for me to do.

Great!
One of the best books I’ve read in a while. Complex not necessarily like characters, but real!

The ending
Folds and twists and side stories galore. I really enjoyed this story. I only wish the narration would have included a more dramatic difference between the characters’ voices. Sometimes I had to use clues to figure out who was speaking in back and forth dialogue. It ended up being worth the listen anyway!!

Fun audio
I would not have read this book if it was not for the performance of the Audio. I really enjoyed it.

Kept me wondering …
Pretty entertaining story, if you can suspend belief a bit. How could nobody ever notice?? Anyway, the Spanish/English was not so bad because you can mostly figure out what’s going on. The narrator was obviously bilingual because she pronounced the words very well. I appreciate authenticity from a narrator.
