Publisher's summary

He's broken....

Dray, vice president of the Sacred Hearts MC, watched his mother die in a bloody hail of bullets at the tender age of 16.... Dray doesn't want to be that guy anymore. Then came Everett Moran....

She's been burned....

Evy is having one of the worst days in the history of, well...ever, and she's seen a lot of rough days. Raised an only child of a single father, Everett finds herself an orphan before she's even old enough to drink. She knows a thing or two about loss, and, thanks to her boyfriend, she's had more than a few lessons in hardship, too. Still, she moves through life with a single-minded determination to make her circumstances better.... She harbors no illusions about life being anything other than what it is, so how in the hell could she have been so blind to what her boyfriend Jerry was doing?

Could the worst day of Everett's life actually turn out to be the best thing to ever happen to her when she pulls into Dray's garage? Could Everett's arrival on Dray's doorstep herald a new beginning for Dray and heal some of his brokenness?

A few oversights

This author should consider getting a few more people to read her books before releasing them. There were some very obvious oversights, in my opinion.
1) The Hero is arrested and charged with assault and battery against the Heroine’s former boyfriend. (He did punch him) However, there were no witnesses, no video, no recording, nothing. However, the reader is supposed to believe that the H is arrested and Charged based on no evidence, only the victims word. I believe that’s considered Hearsay. In addition, this situation is never resolved or even discussed again, in the book.
2) The h breaks off a long term relationship with live in boyfriend and he is not happy about it, but he never calls or visits he is never heard from again even though he pressed charges against the H.
3) The h is robbed and shot at work and the robber is assisted by a coworker of the h. However, the coworker isn’t arrested or charged and is never mentioned again, in the book. WTF?
4) The h, who just got burned by her long term, live in boyfriend and the H who is emotionally scarred, suspicious to the point of paranoia and a bad-assed Biker who rarely gives women a second thought, fall in love and freely admit it to one another, in a matter of 5 days. Really?
The storyline wasn’t all bad. Even with the eye rolling moments, I enjoyed it overall and will likely continue with the series; especially since it’s included with the romance package.

From a faithful Audible listener...

I just can't picture the characters that I read about through the voices of these narrator's.... It's harsh, I know, I'm sorry! But I stopped buying the Audible versions of this series based on the voices of the narrator's. Dray can't sound like this!!!! It really does make a difference.... I really, really tried, I just can't reconcile the characters I read in the book with the voices I hear with the Audible book.

Good story

looked the story but the narration was a bit too much. Overacting at its finest. Made it a bit hard to listen to.
