Love after loss.

Aurora life changes the day her brother's friend come to her house to say her brother is dead. Luke and Nolan were friends and he continues to be there for Aurora after his death. A tragedy. Together they find a path to each other, with their shared friends in the backdrop.

The audio rendition of this was just okay. I found that the male lead sometimes sounded like he was trying not to laugh at what he had to read. The female was okay but tended sometimes to seem a little stilted. It wasn't the best performance I've listened to, and didn't really do much for the story.

I was provided a copy of this audiobook by the narrator for an unbiased review.

Book 1

What did you love best about Luke?

This was my first book by Anna Scott and I loved every minute listening to the audiobook. Luke and Aurora were endearing, so hot, and fun. I fell in love with all of Luke's friends and cannot wait to read their stories as well. They took hold of my heart right from the start with the tragic circumstances that they had to endure and how utterly sweet and devoted Luke was to Aurora during their time of sorrow. Very good audiobook

Promising

This story was okay. I did enjoy it but it had so much more promise and could have been better. The dialogue felt off and pieced together. The story line itself was good with the heroine and hero who have had feelings for each other but never admittedly acted on them because the best friend of her brother. After a tragic event things changes things and feelings come to be known and explored.

Great Story!! Disapointing audio/narrators

Would you try another book from Anna Scott and/or Travis Ryan Lee and Christina Lee ?

Yes, I plan to purchase the other three books in this series because the story and the characters interested me so much.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Luke!

How could the performance have been better?

The performers sounded as if they were in a tunnel and didn't know when to pause or fluctuate their voice. The male narrator was very choppy and both narrators seemed to speed up too much and paused in-between thoughts. It was very distracting.

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I absolutely loved this story and only wish the male and female narrators would have done a better job. They seemed to be very armature in their performance as well and the recording quality. If I had paid for this audiobook, I would have actually returned it. If anymore are released by these narrators, I will stick to the ebooks and let my imagination perform in my head. I was very dissapointed by the audio quality and lacking performance by the narrators because the story was so well written and interested me so much that I plan to continue the series in ebook. I am an avid audiobook listener who listens to an audiobook everyday, almost all day and night. I have heard so really great quality and performances, and this one is not one of them unfortunately. I hope the author and/or publisher selects different narrators and recording settings if they continue the series in audiobook.

3.5 Luke Stars

I enjoyed this book, it was sad but I felt a little detached as well. I can’t really put my finger on why. I really liked all the characters in this book; they don’t get jumbled together at all. Meaning I didn’t have to make notes of who was who. Ha ha

I kind of found it endearing that they both Luke and Aurora had a crush on each other but because of timing and circumstance they never did anything about it until now. And with it being how they did it’s kind of fitting. Death either brings people together or tares them apart.

Over all I really enjoyed this book, I am looking forward to Jake and Hope maybe being able to heal each other because they both need something that’s for sure.

Listening to audio can be wonderful or it can be so so. This was both. I enjoyed the heck out of Travis Ryan Lee performance. Now don’t get me wrong Christina Lee has a very pleasant voice. She narrates it well enough; she wasn’t breathy and doesn’t do anything weird. But I kind of didn’t feel any emotion in her words. And given the content of this book I kind of wanted to feel that.

Any additional comments?

I absolutely loved this book! The characters were well thought out and I felt a connection with them. It had just the right amount of suspense and romance and the sex was HOT! I can't wait to read and listen to more from this author! I highly recommend this book.
