Publisher's summary

Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well - until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her...down to the very soul.

Mmm....Yes.

This was cute! I enjoy the narrator's Scottish accent. She did a great job of capturing the characters. I also enjoyed the depth of these characters. Joss was a little too abrasive at times but overall I liked the story.

VT. FAN

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Why? Besides the fact that it is a well written contemporary romance, but the narrator was so good that I went looking for other audiobooks that she has done and was surprised to discover that this was her first and only one.

What did you like best about this story?

Even though I am not a fan of contemporary romance there was nothing about this audiobook that I did not like.

What does Paula Costello bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ms. Costello did all voices perfectly both male and female and the Scottish accents were great. I was so impressed with her but could not find anything else by her. I m sure that will change. If only Ms. Costello had been the narrator for all the "Fifty Shades of Grey" books so many people would not have been so disappointed in the narration of them me included she would have been perfect.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Before listening to this book have your airline ticket to Edingurgh ready cause you will want to go.

Nothing Beats the Best Friend's Brother Trope

I loved Braden and Jocelyn! Nothing beats the best friend's brother trope, and this was such a fun iteration of that trope.

Jocelyn is Braden's sister's new roommate. Their chemistry is off the charts from the moment they end up in a taxi together. They begin a friends with benefits agreement, but Braden intends to make Jocelyn fall for him.

Braden was exactly what Jocelyn needed. As she fought to remain unattached and independent, Braden broke down her wall piece by piece until she let him in. The evolution of their relationship through subtle moments was captivating and addicting.

Paula Costello was fantastic as the narrator on this book and perfectly encompassed both Jocelyn and Braden's characters.

Hot for a Scot

I really enjoyed this one. I'm not a huge fan of Highland Romance novels and was a little nervous about this book being set in Scotland. Thankfully it was nothing like I expected and I now understand the allure of the Scottish hero. I really fell for Braden. This book is definitely smexy! Well worth a credit and then some.

Pleasant Surprise

I had read on many book blogs that On Dublin Street was one of the best romance books of 2012 and I have to agree. The storyline and characters are great. It has humor, romance and sadness as you watch Joss struggle with several issues. The narration was great too. I really enjoyed it!

Good Romance, or, "Where Can I find MY Braden?"

I really enjoyed this story. In my estimation it is well-written and well-done. I became engrossed and was able to connect with the characters which, after all, is the number one job of any "good" fiction book. I ejoyed and liked the characters, and felt the book was pretty well-plotted and paced. There were a few things you could see coming quite far ahead, (particularly regarding Ellie and her life), but that's not always a bad thing and I wouldn't take any credit away from this book for that. The narrator did an excellent job voicing the various characters, and seemed just the right tone for the main character Jocelyn.
