About this listen

I'm not a good man, and I've never pretended to be. I don't believe in goodness or God or any happy ending that isn't paid for in advance.

What do I believe in? Money. Sex. Macallan 18.

They have words for men like me - playboy. Womanizer. Skirt chaser. My brother used to be a priest, and he only has one word for me: sinner.

Jacob knocks it out of the park again

This book topped its predecessor “Priest” 👏

I thoroughly love Sean’s POV depth. My god. There was some amazing writing done in there. This book was spicy but in the perfect way. There was no overkill on that. It was a well balanced kink that didn’t skip the emotion... cause then it would be like watching a porno with mediocre acting. The emotion and character depth was there and alive. I live for this book. I also cried my face off (Not many books have made me cry like a f**king baby, this one did).

Jacob Morgan is Sean. He gives life to his characters. His voice is romantic, dreamy, sultry, sinful and captivating. Who on this planet can truly say anything different?!?!

Something about this book...

***MILD SPOILERS *** Let me go back before I go forth. I was not raised in the church and don't have a full grasping religious mental library, but I've always had faith. Our family prayed at times "appropriate" times, big holiday dinners, and my dad taught me a prayer before sleep. Going into adult life at the ripe young age of 18, I started attending church and found that I cried and ached a bit from it. There's no doubt that attending is a moving experience and a place that didn't seem like it would fully be able to accept me. Literally on my appreciation for sex regardless of partaking. On to the review/s ✏ I've enjoyed this series because it explored rules and urges, particularly in books I and II. And for reasons spoken to in the above, I am always drawn to religious undertones, indecision, forbidden desires, and the actuality, of inner goodness being a truth. Even if not in church, love, desire, faith, is real. It was a torturous, searingly intense path that had no shortage of want and pain in equal measure for the first two books. On to the final review ✏ In what I believe is the final installment in this series, although I'd love to have Aiden's story, Sinner called to me. In all the hedonistic things and the balance of religion, creating a duplicitous parallel universe that has to crash, right? It is said that when one comes to trouble they then play the faith trump card, so does that mean that you aren't allowed to have beliefs if you aren't in a constant relationship with a higher being? This is Sean and I saw Sean in me, but with some of the good in Zenny. My association being a black woman who dates across the board, and white men have definitely been a part of this my whole life. Digging further into the review ✏ Zenny so smart and "wise beyond her years" sorry for the cliche, was also me resolute in my intellectual sense and my social life put me in a circle of the more elite. I never felt like I was the only black person in the room, even if I was, but I know what's out there and Sierra Simone did a fantastic job of ensuring that she knows, without having the book become downtrodden with racial discrimination in a modern setting. I appreciated the callout and how it affected both Zenny and Sean. But, the absolute want that sizzles through every crack exposed in this book, would not be overtaken by anything...ANY-thing. I am many people in this book, by the MCs to the fluid, and in the very last sentences of this book, I was on my third and most soulful cry, which turned into several weeps after #HailMaryHailBack *Jacob Morgan is one of my top two narrators, because I refuse to choose between the two. What he delivers in this trilogy is something akin to speaking to you and bringing this author's beautifully displayed heart in her story to life! I am and was there, and I'm thankful they chose one another. The talent of both marrying a narrator to words on the page. If you've never had the pleasure please listen to these talented people do something amazingly raw, honest, sexy, and in truth. I know this was a long review and self profession of myself, but that is how wholly it spoke to me. If you've made it to the end, thank you. This is the most personal review I have ever written as I don't write a ton, but give ratings. 5 bright and beaming stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ P.S. Sierra Simone, if you ever read this, please give yet another slice of me voice in an Aiden story because representation is a wonderful thing 🙌

Sweet and super sexy

I enjoyed this book so much that I never stopped listening until it was done., except to work. I ignored the world until the end. Shawn’s transformation was extremely enjoyable, and the sex was so hot I’m jealous of characters in a book. I enjoyed all of the characters in this book- especially the Mother Superior. Awesome read/listen.

This book was everything!

This book deals so with some very tough issues in a very open, honest yet non-fussy way. Faith, the loss there of, first love, large age gap, interracial relationships, hidden racism and even loss itself all blended in such a way that none gets lost and the storyline remains fresh and moves along in a way that the reader does not get bored. And let's not forget the sex, hot steamy sex!!

This book was miles away from Priest, the 1st book in the series and thankfully so. I like that this author doesn't have this cookie-cutter model just plugging in marginally different characters. This was a new fresh story but still in the same family. The things that made Priest so hot, all of the naughty names that came out of the priest's mouth, would have instantly made this book offensive and that the author knew and understood this was remarkable. She gained a new fan. Being an African-american female myself I like that she didn't center the book around their differences but she likewise didn't ignore them like so many authors tend to do. Instant fan. The scene where Sean sees and UNDERSTANDS the hidden racism and Zenny is also able to make him understand her tenuous position is priceless and made me feel like, "Finally, a white person who gets it!" (I honestly looked up her photo at that point). And if that wasn't enough...the satin pillowcase!! YOU GET ME!! Instant fan!!

Sean Bell is great & Jacob Morgan is amazing

Priest was great but THIS ONE HERE takes the cake.

WOW! Jacob Morgan was phenomenal as usual.

I loved EVERYTHING about this book.

Sean Bell has become my new favorite billionaire BF. What is there not to love? Great brother and son, reads romance, AMAZING teacher [ IFYKYK] and he is in love with a beautiful black queen.
