Resumen del Editor

Mitch Mitchell is back! All aboard the Flying Scotsman as our horny hero tackles a new case that mixes murder, mystery, and mansex.

Handsome, muscular Edward "Mitch" Mitchell made a splash in James Lear's spicy variation on the British cozy mystery, The Back Passage. Now, in this steamy send-up of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express, he's travelling from Edinburgh to London for a reunion with his ex, "Boy" Morgan. All aboard the Flying Scotsman for a ride that's anything but smooth, as Mitch discovers his fellow travellers include Belgian power bottom Bertrand and sleazy starlet Daisy Athenasy - and her butch publicist Peter Dickinson. Add to the recipe a group of kilt-wearing soldiers, some very accommodating railway workers, and a dead body tumbling out of the toilet, and you have a magical mix of comedy, mystery, and non-stop sex.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"A wickedly brisk blend of sexual romps and intricate sleuthing. Cliche-free erotica is a treasure: an intelligent mystery is a pleasure. Finding both between the covers of the same book is elegantly orgasmic." ( Q Syndicate)
"Lear's prose is vibrant and colorful.... This isn't porn accompanied by a wah-wah guitar, this is porn to the strains of Beethoven's Ode to Joy, each vividly realised ejaculation accompanied by a fanfare and the crashing of symbols." ( Time Out London)

VERY guilty pleasure!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Secret Tunnel to be better than the print version?

I haven't seen the print version, but I suspect so. I LOVE the narrator and imagine that Mitch would sound just like him - in an American sort of way.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Secret Tunnel?

There are too many to mention...

What does Daniel Carter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He's got a wonderful voice. He's interesting to listen to and sounds so charming.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Of light and dark in the tunnel, in the bedroom and on film.

Any additional comments?

I could listen to as many of these books as Daniel Carter is willing to read. I enjoy the book and the presentations!

A great mystery, and goes so much further

On the heels of The Back Door, be prepared. This is a convoluted mystery, and an introduction to a really dark aspect of M/M lives and vulnerability in a recent historic period. Not to say it couldn't happen today.
The story is compelling. The narration is perfect. How do I say it? The story isn't what I wanted for Mitch, but I have to go along with it. I really hope his next story is not as dark.

Going on a train ride

Prepare yourself for a fabulous, humorous , very intriguing and super sexy romp through the English country side aboard the Flying Dutchman. The Secret Tunnel is a whodunit mystery with a whole cast of interesting characters and one very attractive wannabe detective .

My, my, my , I am liking, a lot, this take on Agatha Christie's famous Belgian Detective Hercules Poirot. In Mitch Mitchell , James Lear not only have created a charismatic and smart detective but one that is young, hot AF and utterly delicious 😋.

Daniel Carter as the narrator did a phenomenal job. He characterization of the different characters in the book was brilliant.

Interesting Ideas

The narrator was lovely. Good turns of phrase. Way to pass the time. Brilliant. Uncanny.

A genuine mystery story!

I never thought a slut boi could be the protagonist in a murder mystery, but look here, old chap! You did it. Even it were censored and some of the anachronisms fixed it would still be a good whodunnit!

Excellent Series, Daniel Carter is Perfect!

Oh, SO good! That ending...

All the twists and turns that one takes, it was truly spectacular. James Lear has a most creative imagination, and not just for mysteries ;)

I love this series, and having it read to me by Daniel Carter just improves it. His dry delivery truly works with Mitch's character, and I enjoyed all his accents in this one.

Excellent series.
