Underwood and Flinch is a blackly humourous thriller of sibling rivalry and vampire horror set in a British expat community in rural Spain, with a sub-plot involving Russian mobsters on the Costa del Sol.

Underwood and Flinch was podcast from 2008 - 2012, winning the coveted Parsec Award for Best Small Cast Story (Long Form) in 2012 and 2013. This audiobook is the original podcast audio minus music and remastered for audiobook release. It also includes the short story, "Night Crossing", which serves as a short introduction to Underwood and Flinch.

I can not recommend this enough

I have been waiting to buy this book on audible for YEARS. I listened to it back when it was coming out chapter by chapter in podcast format. It has everything you could want in a modern vampire horror type story. The action is well balanced with horror, humor, and emotion. Mike Bennett narrates his own book and he does a fantastic job as a narrator. I’m always a fan of when authors narrate their own work and Mike absolutely crushes it. It’s a fantastic story and has something in it for everyone!

Loved every bit of it. Excellent story line and performance. I finished it way too quickly. Can't wait to hear the 2nd novel.

been following this author since the beginning, this is a really outstanding book.
This is one of the best vampire/paranormal series I have read! These books just flow perfectly they keep you wanting more and not wishing for it to end! It has the perfect amount of action, drama, heartbreak, and love! You won’t regret reading or listening to this story! If you listen to it the narrator is awesome and really brings the characters to life! who doesn’t love a sarcastic English vampire lol! The other characters amazing! Read this you won’t regret it! I loved it!

One of the best books ever written. The characters are incredibly engaging. The story is well put together and fresh. The narration is absolutely masterful. … and I am picky, so that’s saying a lot.

WOW! I did not expect that. It was perfect.

It was captivating. I hate to gush, but the author will love it. I expected a parody of vampirism or a story where vampirism took a back seat to the sibling rivalry or even a story where the vampire was everything you would expect but the plot was an add on to give an excuse to indulge is morbid fantasy. I got none of that.

I got a beautifully integrated mix of solid vampire lure and silly sibling rivalry bull and unbelievable thriller with an add-in of just a bit of faux romance. It was perfect because you start off disliking everyone because no one has a single moral fiber in their body except the one person who's so weak and pathetic that you wish that you could root for him but can't because you know he's going to lose, and you end up with a group of people who you still think are entirely amoral and don't like but can't help root for and a few people that you want dead so bad that you almost wish you could pull out an Uzi and do it yourself. Then it ends on a question.

I specifically searched for a book with good ratings that did not have a sequel and got this one. I found out about 5 hours in that it does have a sequel, and I'm so glad.

Second time

This is the second time that I listen to Underwood and Flinch. Great story told by a man who is a master of words, both written and spoken. Thank you Mr Bennet, thank you!

I have waited YEARS to see this title on Audible

Before Audible, there was a happy little Website called Podiobooks. That is where I was introduced to the imagination of Mike Bennett. His stories grab you and pull you in. His delivery is wonderful and you can tell it is truly a labor of love, which is evident in the skillful way he crafts his tales and performs them for us.

I can’t wait for more titles to add to my library!
