Born in Valhalla and raised in Yonkers, New York. Brought up in a dysfunctional family primarily around women, with an absent father for the majority of my childhood & young adult years, my role as a Man had to be learned. Having Autistic characteristics & symptoms (never officially diagnosed) didn't make that process any easier. Experiencing extreme difficulty trying to express my emotions, particularly ones of anger, irritation, & frustration, led me to seek solitude within. In that solitude, I came across Exercise & Fitness. Slowly but surely, it became something that I turned to for a form of therapy. It allowed me to put myself in a better position to deal with my emotions that were so foreign and confusing for me. It was also a method in which I could connect deeper with my divine masculine traits. Joining the ROTC program at my high school, permitted me to dive even deeper into the world of fitness and nutrition. Having no real direction or purpose, I signed up join the United States Marine Corps and was at bootcamp 6 months after graduating as a Food Service Specialist. While serving, I had the fortunate opportunity of travelling alongside the Navy for 7 months on a ship, as well as two deployments to Okinawa, Japan totaling a year. During my 1st term, I fell into the habit of smoking and drinking regularly. I competed in 2016 in 2 bodybuilding shows a week apart. I was extremely proud of myself. My 2nd term stationed in Hawaii was when I experienced Life much deeper. There was a heartbreak, deep financial troubles, turmoil in my professional career, and heavy drug use. As a result of my perception of these issues, I fell into smoking marijuana and regular cocaine use and developed an addiction that only got worse as the days went by. I ended up getting kicked out of the military under "Other than Honorable" circumstances, but not before attending the military's version of a rehab program. The addiction, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and having no sense of purpose only intensified when I moved in with someone whom I'd only had a casual relationship with up to this point. More cocaine use followed. Drinking alcoholic beverages almost every night with a side of way too much Taco Bell. Smoking more cigarettes. Out of work for 2 months, being taken care of by a virtual stranger, I was at the lowest point in my life. The hole was getting deeper. Somewhere between LSD, Psilocybin, & MDMA, & Alan watt's lectures, I was able to see myself in a different lens. I was able to regain my sense of power and control over my life. I slowly started going back to the gym, working out, and eating much better. Along the lines, God revealed to me, my purpose in life: "Transform With Trainsalot". A way for me to help, serve, and bring value to others with my gifts. God gave me the strength to stop smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, and even cease my heavy cocaine use cold turkey ! Since then, I have dedicated myself to developing this vision to it's fulfillment, to include getting certified as a personal trainer & group exercise instructor. Along with launching my YouTube channel, personal training website, & health and wellness initiatives on social media. Including my Transform With Trainsalot Facebook page, aj_trainsalot on Instagram.
