Growing up on my family property that consisted mostly of swampy woodlands, oftentimes made me feel isolated from the suburban world my friends lived in. My parents didn't have the time or money to drive us to the mall, or other events, and leave us with money in hand. Lord knows, they tried like Hell to give us anything and everything, but with five kids that's not an easy task. I am the fourth youngest girl of that five, their St. Patrick's day baby. Looking back now, I feel so grateful to have grown up on family land with my grandparents as my neighbors. I've had an entire lifetime of loving parents who have always encouraged my imagination, and proved to me how difficult and worthwhile love can be. Losing my mom, watching my Dad go through that, THAT taught me how tragic it can be to fully give your heart to someone, and lose them. I was just shy of 18. Although I had been an avid reader and writer for most of my life, that was the event that made me put the pens away, so to speak. Writing, it is such a vulnerable space to exist in, and I just couldn't face that pain. But now, after finding my own love, and allowing that love to help mend me, I have decided to dive right into the deep end. I've published the first of many novels to come.
