Amy Kinzer Steidinger is a genealogist and historian who loves stories. She's been an educator in public and private school programs for thirty years. Her work writing the story of Samuel Moser in So Many Fragile Things led her to visit the Old Joliet Prison (where the Blues Brothers was filmed). She wrote two books about the history of the prison - Old Joliet Prison: When Convicts Wore Stripes and Joliet Prison Blues: A Century of Stories. She is currently working on a book full of stories that she found while doing genealogical research.
