Armen Bacon made her authorial debut with the powerful memoir, Griefland: An Intimate Portrait of Love, Loss and Unlikely Friendship (Globe Pequot Press, 2012). She is also the author of My Name is Armen - A Life in Column Inches; and My Name is Armen - Outside the Lines (The Press at California State University, Fresno, 2014, 2016). Her newest work, co-authored with Nancy Miller, Daring to Breathe - Stories of Living with the Foreverness of Grief, is an anthology of 28 modern day survival stories offering an authentic glimpse into the lives of those whose grief has morphed through time and breathes new life into how humans navigate life after loss. She resides in Fresno, California, and is a featured columnist for The Fresno Bee. Her words and writings have been praised as "pulling us all a little closer to each other."
