I was, a bit strange, in that I didn't grow up wanting to be an author, doctor, fireman or any of the other professions that people aspire to. My goal in life was to be happy. Strangely, after years of looking, I found I didn't have to go far. It was within me, and all I had to do was bring myself to everything that I did. How could I go wrong? My first book (Letters in the Lunchbag) was inspired by the love of my life, my wife. I used to write little notes in her lunch bags when she went to work. At some point, I thought it would be kind of neat to compile them into a book and present them to her on her birthday. Mission accomplished. Now, I would like to share them with anyone interested. I strongly believe in love, but not the kind that you think of when you see a beautiful person. Love comes from a much deeper place, and it needs to be reaffirmed each and every day. The danger of being with the same person for many years is that you take them for granted; they get stale. You may begin to find fault in your partner. It starts off small, then over the years, it starts to continually expand until you get to a point where everything you see in your partner is wrong. The person you decide to have an affair with seems a whole lot better. You may even start to hate your life partner, to justify cheating. The book I have written is not about that; it is about the opposite. Each day I look to see what is right about my partner, and it is those observations that I entered into the "Lunchbag"
