I'm an old dog learning new tricks. Crocodile Mothers Eat Their Young is my first published novel at age sixty nine. If at first you don't succeed, write, write again. I actually read lots more non-fiction than I do fiction, especially political history and biographies, American and otherwise. I'm an acceptable chef, at least my family says so and there have been no rushes to the emergency room. My inspiration of a wife and I travel fairly often both home and abroad. A lot of our US travel is to visit my three sons and my five grandkids, spread across the US map. I play a game few would recognize as golf. The novel was inspired by the true story of some of the foster kids my wife and I have hosted. Almost all of these children have suffered as no child should. How they handle being separated from family, going into a strange home, and often succeeding despite the odds has been an education for me. By training and for a steady source of income I practiced law and did business consulting. I'm afraid some of my clients thought my legal opinions were pure fiction, so I took the hint and took up the writer's tools. I owe a lot to the support of my family and friends that got me to where I now have an Amazon page. Life can be very good.
