The dinosaurs I drew as a kid resembled ducks. I didn’t know while scribbling other works of awful in the early 1980s that my path as an author had begun. Being lousy at drawing forced me to give up on being an artist. Except it eventually dawned on me I could describe all the characters I had in mind. Where they dwelled but also what they were plotting… Years later, I graduated from the Los Angeles Film School with a major in directing. Following a three-year enlistment in the military, I began turning my short film and movie ideas into cinematic fiction.
