Charles Chamberlain transformed his life as his living environments changed dramatically. He started life as a small-town boy, growing up in the tiny communities of Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and Wyoming. He remembers seeing a nuclear explosion in the early '60s from the front porch of his home in southern Nevada. Life became a great teacher as he faced serious abuse and bullying in school. In early adulthood, he married Laraine Hone, raising six children with her while they struggled to survive financially. As a parent and entrepreneurial-minded businessman, he overcame bouts of unemployment and a devastating disability to become one of the nation's top wage earners. Leaving the comforts of the corporate world in 2006, he created a profitable corporate newsletter business and with his wife developed a unique focus on the "soft skills" of mental health, wellness, and leadership. He also edited the works of other authors before launching into authorship of his own books. Eventually, Charles traded the dangerous deserts of Nevada for the crowded streets of Hong Kong and Beijing where he taught journalism and leadership principles to Chinese students at China Foreign Affairs University while he continued his writing.
